Having done this several times on various falcons, i highly recommend lubing your seat tracks pre reinstalling, crc or wd your connectors especially after having moisture in the vacinity. Also spray your carpet and seats with a clothes stain remover like preen or wonder white etc. Suds it up, wash with clothing detergent water mix and suck the guts out of it with the wet dry. Doing it about 3 times will have the car clean as new! Air dry with all doors open. Minty fresh when its all dry and done. Love the channel bro! Cheers

I'm with you with the Armor All, been using it for yonks and no issues ever! And I also had purchased those front floor mats for my BA RTV, they've been beautiful, I'd highly recommend. As the RTV has plastic flooring in it I was iffy that they'd slip about, as the backing would normally grip to carpet. But that hasn't been the case, because they're moulded there is very minimal slipping. A good product.

Crevice tool on the vacuum will increase the suction, and doing two passes alternating with a drill mounted nylon brush will get carpets pretty damn close to perfect without resorting to cleaning with liquids. Ford made genuine rubber mats with a small lip for front and rear seats. I had a set in a BA FMG fifteen years ago and were awesome to just hit with the pressure washer as part of my cleaning regimen.

You didn't have any dramas with faults afterwards? My sister-in-law did her car like this and got a fault when she put it all back together. Good job, I used to clean my cars very similar to you including the same products, I prefer now to remove console and carpet from vehicle also, hose the carpet out to remove any detergent as detergent residue in carpet isn’t a good thing and no matter how many times you vacuum it there will always be some there, also with console and carpet removed you can give the console a real good clean all round and wash the actual floor of the car. Leave everything outside on a warm day to dry thoroughly before putting back in but don’t leave anything in direct sun, a lot more work but well worth it. Personally if using armour all then go over with a clean cloth after application to remove any residue but I don’t like armour all anymore, I use Auto Glynn products on my car for everything, bit more expensive but some of the best products around and the interior cleaner is better than armour all. Great work on videos, look forward to more

In the Camry my grandfather owned from new (and I inherited), I found an air freshener and a perfectly preserved McDonalds chip, under the back seat which would've been from 5 year old me close to 15 years ago (I was the only one who ate back there). Other than that, the Hilux my parents have owned for longer than I have been alive, had quite a few coins under the rear bench seat. It's interesting to see your BA has that orange powder on the seat rails/bracket covers. My EB seats do the same thing.

The Macca's chip is an interesting thing. It still looked perfectly normal, as if it fell down there only yesterday.

@@MotoringBoxTV they must have some good preservatives! I found something interesting tucked into the roof though. A piece of paper from the Broadmeadows plant, with paint/panel corrections to be made to my car while it was on the production line. It even had red overspray on it from the in-house repair. Apparently they were never meant to be left in the car, so they’re pretty hard to come across.

I had the same powder in my ba Fairmont. I think you will find its the seat foam. It kinda goes like powder for some reason. Seems to be a falcon thing. Must be the sort of foam the use for the seat bases

@@briancurran1086 that’s what I was thinking, the foam gets turned into a powder where it interferes with the hinges and such. At least it’s not as bad as that horrible yellow headlining adhesive, that turns into a tacky sand-like material! Hated cleaning that up when I had my headlining redone.

I love finding money in all the cars I have bought, Ive found a bag of weed behind the centre console in a Magna. I decided to call the cops just in case I was ever pulled over and had the dog squad on me so I could save my ass lol

My BA's floor mats say XR6 Turbo. I wonder if they're aftermarket or OEM. Would like another set.

I think there were OEM XR6 mats. Do they have a soft foam-like material on the underside?

Just a small tip, instead of using vice-grips on you M50 Torx tool/bit, try using a ring spanner over the shaft of Torx too/bit l for extra leverage - less likely to slip, easier to control and hence less likely cause damage to yourself or the work area :)

My dad once bought an old 1988 camry , after we got it home and he went inside I popped my hand under the driver seat and found a thick Porn Magazine , had a nice flick , discovered the meaning of life , then put it back under the seat (was 15 at the time) , a few days later.. i caught my dad flicking through the fucker in the front seat , then he saw me and panicked and tried to hide it , he later proceeded to go to the bin to supposedly "throw it away" , few weeks later.. found it on top of the wardrobes in our house ahhahahahha , think it ended up with my uncle a few months later lol, i don't blame him haha, that was a good bloody magazine (;
