What a super-cool video!!! I am late to the party and was thinking about how to add bluetooth capability to a 1966 Corvair without destroying the look. Very helpful information. Thanks!

We are taking a look at a 2014 diesel one tomorrow. 122,000 k's and $5,000 but both right side doors need bodywork or the outer skins replacing. The owners are elderly and both have recently handed back there licenses. If we get the Territory we have a 4T 2 post hoist which makes the servicing and repairs a lot easier.

my guy, that is awesome, could add a little soundcard and memory, add it to kids little electric toy cars they take your shins out with, kids will enjoy them more and your shin´s get a heads up. and we live in the troll era... loads of kids with their fresh driving liscence and first beater car would put this in for a laugh with their friends, add personalised sounds to it, like a firework wistling off or a fart, meme audio stuff... as the car accelerates. Patent that shit and sell it to tesla and other electric car manufacturers. Royalties are a wonderfull thing my friend. I´d go 50/50 you make them and i´ll sell the f out of them. india and arabic markets would be a goldmine.

Hi Sean, Andy here, just saying I wish I had your Haltech software for my Audi UR Quattro, that thing flew but overboost made it a bit of a pig to drive wish I still had it, it’s a deposit for a house now. I sold it for just over half you’ve spent doing your Magna. Can’t wait for the Magna episode!! 👍 I’ll get my son Orpheus to explain more about these setting your tuning here!

replace your trans fluid every 50 - 60K or you will end up replacing the transmission. as the factory(ford) never services the transmission.

Love the AU, I have three other cars, a Y62 Patrol, Nissan Navara and a Hyundai I30, all modern, then I have a AU Fairmont. The AU has only 40k on the clock but although I don’t often drive it I so look forward to it. It’s so comfortable and beats all our other cars hands down although they range in sizes and functionality.

Head gasket problems from poor head stud pattern on the 3.9ltr, self levelling suspension issues constantly, weak as @iss gearbox. Window winders always fail, Bumper clips fail and bumpers sag. Comfy car when running properly though.

I’ve still got a factory untouched vt commodore ss s2 the engine has done 172000ks I drive it every day and I’ve never had a engine problem except for the oil pressure switch giving faulty readings but apart from that it has a slight knock on cold starts because the oil is too thin and that’s my mistake not the cars

I'm leaving the oil pump for now. The saving grace is the Haltech has engine protection features that'll let you know immediately if the oil pressure suddenly disappears.

I only found out about these 5 years ago in a Carsales ad. And I’m scrolling through photos, and saw one. And I scrolled. Scrolled back, cocked my head tot he side and said. “Is that a phone holder. In a BA LTD”. It was! I recently got one for my territory. Drilled up the top, screwed and double sided taped a quad lock charging head, and case, done! Perfect height.

My 2012 Territory TX has under 100,000ks but more body damage.... Diesel RWD and it seems the trims all get different upholstery, the TX seats look a bit more sporty, btw how can the headliner be fixed for low cost, i have the same issue here.

RE003's - I think they're brilliant. I don't really have anything to compare them to, but they're relatively cheap, quiet enough, grip well and also are surprisingly good in the wet.

I would recommend regap your plugs to 0.7mm if your running over 300rwkw~ 16psi. Or AGSP22YE07. Pregapped ford iridiums denoted by the 07. The sooting maybe has to do with the plug type if your running other than iridiums an too tall a gap you will get unburnt fuel on idle if the plug is not cold enough? Correct me if im wrong here lol

You might get issues with a BKR7 or 6E/IX possibly a BKR5E/IX safer for high boost applications an 0.8mm.

Also you can save the Tune and work on another that you can play around with and if you ever think you have messed it up you can just revert back. The short term trims you can add back to the base map, once a week/month when ever you want and over time it will need less.

Closed loop boost control - this is where you set a target boost pressure and the ECU will constantly try to hit that boost level. You can adjust multiple parameters around how fast and aggressive the control logic reacts (PID control). Set it up to react too aggressively and you will end up with it hunting, i.e. it will cycle between overshoot, undershoot, overshoot. You can also go too far the other way and have it too slow to react, causing it to overboost. Changing the turbo like you have will 100% change how this should be setup, but it couldn't have been tuned correctly before with the stock flapper anyway. The Base Duty Cycle numbers you changed are the starting point for the boost control. When the ECU decides it should be controlling boost, it will start with whats in that table and use the closed loop logic to adjust that number from there. If The Hoff is still willing to help out, it might be best getring his help with getting this tuned right, PID control is a pain to work with. I can give you a basic run down on what to do if you really want to have a crack

One of the reasons for issues when you open up the throttle on a manifold injected engine is there is a small pooling of fuel at the bottom of the runner in the head that collects some of the fuel passing through and then will displace some fuel from the pool because it cannot sustain a larger size under vacuum or boost. This means you need slightly more fuel initially than the engine requires to accelerate but then also enriches the fuel mixture in larger than ideal droplets after the initial throttle input. So it can take quite a bit of work to get a nice crisp throttle.

Still can't believe you thought you needed a haltec. Please don't ever say you don't have much money when you basically threw it away. More hassle than it's worth at the level of performance you are getting.
