Welcome! Those filters reduces the effort needed to manually scoop the gunk out.

Never thought of using a floating filter! I’ve been using a strainer or scrubbing the bottom of the tub 😅

The floating filter helps in capturing some dirt, but doing multiple fill and drain cycles seems most effective at removing all the dirt that is trapped below the drum. Hope it helps!

At 3:33 did you just un-pause the Tub Wash programme activated 6 hours earlier? You also mentioned at 3:47 to drain the water & refill it with water. How did you drain the water? Did you re-run the Tub Wash programme with another pack of Daiso washer?

Hi! I simply re-started the tub wash program. The machine would think that it is freshly filled with water and continue its tub wash sequence. I drained the water by selecting the spin cycle while leaving the cover open - this would prevent the machine from spinning up once it has drained the water. For this tub wash, I had only used 1 pack of Daiso washing machine powder. 1 pack is sufficiently potent in cleaning very dirty washing machines so long as it is given enough time to break down the gunk. The packet is so good that I had to refill and drain the tub several times with water just to get rid of all the gunk that was floating around. Hope this helps!
