Apologies. Not to be an ass but, those are not proper cleaning tips for cleaning the engine. The only good tip is that if you can, make sure the engine is cool.

Use fluid film next time. Wayyyy better and it will not rinse off on the first time

Yeah its great stuff I love it for anything like that or even to get rusty bolts out.. it will stay on even with water sprayed on for at least 4-5 times. Its pretty amazing. Plus it smells good and isnt corrosive to anything. If you wipe it off it leaves a nice semi glossy thin layer of oily protection behind. Water just beads off. I spray my whole engine down every few rides with walmart lubricant after every ride after doing what the video above shows..

Fluid film is great but shouldn’t be sprayed directly on the engine as it’s not resistant to heat. It’s best to use something like Yamalube or XPS to keep the engine protected from corrosion.

Dont think u should be spraying the crap out of the engine compartment. Use salt away or similar spray. Let it sit 10 min and mist off w a hose...mist not a jet spray. Air dry and lube generously w WD 40 or similar.

Def do not use wd40 in your engine compartment, it can soften and swell rubber components.. use fluid film in engine compartment
