Do you have an apartment cleaning routine? Like has your routine changed significantly or not since moving from your house in Texas to your apartment in NYC? I’ve been trying to modify the Fly Lady system to work for our apartment these past couple weeks - it’s crazy how quickly an apartment cleans up!

You need to buy the LG Cordzero!!! It is the best money I’ve ever spent. My daughter and I have long hair and we have a dog...NO HAIR IS EVER IN THE ROLLER! It has seriously changed my cleaning life. 😊

That roller for dog hair literally made my husbands life so much better LOL. He loves our two tiny dogs but the blond hair is always allll over ‘his side’ of the couch, but that thing is magical for getting it off quickly!

My laundry system is divided by person. Each person (6) was assigned a day. On their day all of their laundry and bedding was done. As they got older, that became their responsibility. I also assigned them each a day to cook. I raised 4 boys and felt it was important for them to learn these skills.

I have a Dyson. It worked great in our last small house with no carpet. Not so good for thick carpet though

I’m curious how you manage dog life living in a high rise in NY City. Might be something to include in an upcoming video. In a traditional house in the burbs it’s so easy to just open the door and let them out in a fenced yard or just click on a leash and take a quick walk around the block but I’m guessing high rise living presents a different set of challenges.

I have a Bissell "pet" handheld that did the same thing,running out of power quickly. I researched and the solution was to not let it run out completely,but run it and use the power button to turn it off, THEN plug it in to recharge. It's improved a lot but still runs out of juice much sooner than when it was new.

Finding a good cordless vacuum is so hard. Most of not all are dying after less then a year acoording to reviews and they are all less powerful then normal vacuums. But why don't you like using your roomba? Also I got a lot of things done this morning so only knitted while watching this. To be fair I do really want to finish this front piece today, so that is something I want to get done. 🙃

I have a little GE vacuum like that one (with the dust buster) and it doesn't work anymore even after cleaning it. So frustrating! Dust buster part works well still so i just use that by itself. Weird though.

How strange that happened to both of us! I would just keep the dust buster... but you need the whole vacuum to charge this one. 🙈 Is that how yours is too?

I’ve vacuumed the living room and bedroom after getting the couch and bed hauled away, for now that’s it, as I have a bad back and the vacuuming just about did me in, we have a shark, but it doesn’t stand up on its own and is battery operated.

Hey lovely- thanks for your great videos- I just love watching you! Just to let you know I have had a Dyson 11 for the past 4 months, and I literally, truly do not know how I managed without it before. Expensive but worth every single penny (and more). We have 4 kids and a long-haired cat (don't ask... blended family...) and the amount of dust and hair shed by that pack is frightening. Dyson takes care of it all: you would not believe the amount of dust it picks up! It is indeed heavy, needs some getting used to, but I've learnt to manage it now and would never go back to another vacuum. Let us know how you get on when you've received it!
