I usually use SuperClean and as a dressing I use Black Magic interior detailer. It’s inexpensive, has a pleasant scent, and doesn’t leave the mats slippery.

Nice video Phil! Another tip for your viewers when cleaning mats. After you have cleaned your mats, add your protectant, let the mats bake in the sun. Apply a second coat of protectant as needed . After baking in the sun for desired time, wipe with damp microfiber to remove any access and to knock down slipperiness. Your mats will look new...

Great review. Both seemed to get the job done! The drill brush definitely makes quick work for cleaning the floormats.

The detailing geek in me loves this video. I currently use Meguiars super degreaser diluted 4:1 and then top with Meguiars hyper dressing also diluted 4:1. I do have to wipe down a second time with a microfiber towel to knock down the slippery nature of the dressing. I may have to go shop CSW for new toys from Santa.

I have also been trying the Stoner trim shine this season. I'm not quite getting the results I'd like, so as per your suggestion I'll let it dwell awhile longer before wiping down next time.

Driver side mats are usually way dirtier. I personally like McKee’s 37 mat rejuvenator. I use it all for all the mats like this.

Nice video! I have been using the McKee’s 37 Floor Mat and Cargo Liner Rejuvenator on our rubber floor mats for a few years and they still look fairly new (2017 and 2018 vehicles) with no need to apply dressing of any sort. IME, while an APC or degreaser may initially appear to do just as good a job at cleaning mats as the McKee’s product while being cheaper, long term they will dry out and dull the mats and require some sort of dressing to make them look new again.

i normaly use P&S Xpress interior clean om my rubber mats some times P&S break buster when i wash exterior. dressing i don't have used one, trying to find good dressing that can make them look better and not faiding.

Sounds like any degreaser or APC as common as Superclean would work just as well. I appreciate the tip of using Stoner’s Trim Shine and wiping it down well.

Oh yeah it totally would. The mckees of just a eco friendly version. It doesn’t have a strong caustic smell which is a plus.

hello dear Phil great video, there is a product we are using over in Europe for rubber mats it is called Sonax Rubber Protectant 300ml is on a spray can form. we pay 8-10 usd for this, i dont know how much it costs in USA, and if it is make sence for your business to spend the money, but is gives on rubber a very nice mat look, and is NO sling formula , and with decent to great durability

I have used the McKees and got great results …but an APC work great too. I have also used the stoners trick..I probably got it from you.. Makes the mats look brand new…just wipe them down good and no slip

Interesting. I've been using Adams Rubber & Mat Cleaner for a while and have been satisfied with the results. I think it's the smell that keeps pulling me back. I've been looking at the McKee's product for a while, but based on your video there doesn't look like any reason for me to rush.

I use adams tire and rubber cleaner as I already have it for tires and my rubber window edges I think it's the best rubber cleaner others have never worked for me

I've used the McKees and love it. The matts I used it on were a little more beaten then the ones you tested and it brought back the "luster" of the black. It also doesn't leave that greasy slickness. Before I started using McKees I was using 303 and no matter how hard I wiped, it always still left some slickness. The only downside to McKees is it's a little pricey. But, I'm at the stage in my detailing that I'm believing you get what you pay for?

I use MeguIars hyper dressing heavily diluted down to refresh the finish, seems ok, I may try the stoners trim and shine 😁

Hey Phil, I actually use Purple Power to clean the mats, and then dress them up with Megiuar's tire shine. They are a little slippery at first, but after 10 minutes, they feel all rubbery and grippy again. I had never heard of the McKee's 37 before. My only worry is drying out the oils in the mats when using cleaners.

Hi. Yeah the oils will eventually out gas and it becomes dry. But that’s a great tip to use that dressing and allow it dwell and dry off. 😎👍🏼

This is JUST AN OPINION, but I believe the degreaser would be a better pick for those on a budget. Suds lab, or any other degreaser from any brand, would be more ideal because you can dilute it and use it on a WHOLE LOT OF OTHER SURFACES. Now the M37 cleaner is a good product dont get me wrong, its just that if you are on a budget, you shouldnt buy something that ONLY has one purpose. Again, thats just my opinion. Nice video Phil, how would you describe the smell of M37 cleaner? Fruity? Cologne? Fresh? :o Kinda curious to try it out.

Yes very good point!! The McKees is apps geared towards those who want eco friendly products, since it’s not caustic. But your totally right on! It’s more of a pleasant fruity smell I would say. 😎👍🏼

Having tried the McKees and several APCs I find no difference. Most APCs are diluteable which makes them more cost efficient. I usually use an APC and I use Gyeon Q2M interior detailer that has leftover product from cleaning the interior on the microfiber cloth, sort of a bonus. It leaves it a bit more conditioned, and smells nice. Enjoyed the video 👍✌️☮️

The Total Degreaser is basically a strong APC. I have used other APC’s and got the same results. The brushing is what really makes the difference actually. 😎👍🏼

I tend to just use Super Clean or Spray Nine. Both diluted 5:1. Like most things in detailing it comes down to price and performance. The McKees seems like it would be more costly in the long run. Maybe geared towards more to the enthusiast? Great comparison though!

Hi. Yeah that’s true. Plus the mckees is more eco friendly and not caustic smelling. But I totally agree.
