I should have watched your video comparing your Performer to the SnS. I bought the SnS. Did my first two cooks on the SnS. It's a whole new learning curve. It seems to run hotter than the Performer. I did a little beef roast for my neighbor on the SnS. I had the vent shut down next to nothing. The lid thermo showed just under 100 degrees, My Maverick grate probe showed 287. I was using B&B char logs. Perhaps would have produced less heat. On the Performer I was able to get my grate probe to 225 constantly. You are definitely correct. My 22 inch Only Fire rotisserie didn't fit. I see Only Fire make a 22.5 inch rotisserie. I do not know if the extra half inch diameter would work. I contacted Only fire and they were hesitant. I'd be interested to know if any one has tried it. I could have put in a smoke hole and probe port on my performer. I do find those features hand. I'm unimpressed with the SnS rotisserie. My biggest issue is no counter balance on it. I can tell you a 16 pound turkey is heavier on the breast side than the back side. From the picture the spit forks have four prongs so that's good. Per Amazon, Only Fire has a 22.5 inch rotisserie for $106 where SnS wants $200. Question is will it fit the SnS kettle. So over the next few months will tell if I go back to the Performer. I did get the SnS charcoal basket. Now those I like better than the Weber ones. I can always put those in the Performer. I can say I'm not a big fan of the Slow and Sear Deluxe. Personal preference. Hope you are having a great holiday weekend and you're cooking up a storm. I really look forward to your videos. I learn a lot. Thank you.

@@Viewtoagrill Johnny I did here you say that. That's when I got worried. I immediately opened the box and you are absolutely correct. My 22" only Fire is too small. I know Only Fire makes a 22.5 inch for weber. I wonder if that would work? Maybe some day you'll get one and test it. 😁😁 The other thing I noticed is I don't think the build quality is as good as the Weber. I did two cooks on the SnS yesterday, Memorial Day, Today I cleaned out the grill for the next cook. The tabs on the ash pot are very flimsy. Very thin Aluminum. It was bent out of shape and I had to bend it back. I question how long that will last before it needs replacement. I used the Slow and Sear Baskets indirect. They worked great. Their thermo is tough to believe. I had everything set for low and slow. Their therno said not quite 100. My Maverick grate probe, right next to the meat read consistent 250. 150 degree difference. Wow. Being it's a new grill I watched my cook closely as I figure a new grill a new learning curve. I do like the smoke hole and probe port features. That's how I cooked yesterday. Closed the bottom vent and adjusted the smoke hole and lid vent. I know this takes a lot of your time up but I do appreciate your insight. At this point I don't think this grill has a long term life span for me. I'll probably go back to the Weber Performer that you have and which I gave up for this. If I want rotisserie I have my 18" WSM with the Cajun Bandit rotisserie. Also have their 10" extension ring with the Gateway Rib hanger. Maybe I'll get rid of the SnS and just run the WSM. Needless to say, It definitely looks different now than over 20 years ago when I first bought it. More money in stainless than what the smoker cost me. Thank you again for all you insights and advice. I really do appreciate the help. I got my first bullet type smoker near 50 years ago and I'm still learning. If I had a way on facebook messenger Id send you pick of my WSM and my stuff. Thank you again.

I have used my Searwood every day since I bought it. Unfortunately some hot hamburger grease ran down the front and seems to be permanently embedded in the paint of the cook box. I tried Dawn, Orange cleaner, baking soda, white vinegar, magic eraser…Can’t get it out. Looking for a touch up paint.

I my first video, the assembly video, I was pointing an area out where I thought that might happen. I have not grilled on the Searwood yet... but plan to. Thanks for letting me know, I will be sure to clean that when it happens and not wait for the stain to set in.

This is why I don't buy a pellet grill! Easy to cook but hard to clean. Will stick with my Hasty Bake that is so easy to clean.
