Hi, with regards to your tree stump, what I think would be more entertaining is if you clear as much dirt from around it as you can with a small digger bucket till just below the finished turf level then, Get ten bags of charcoal. Put one on your barbie, then when its glowing, split in up around the stump, add the other bags over the top of the hot charcoal, get the three old 55 gallon drums, which have been top and tailed, cut them top to bottom, open them up, then put them around the stump so there bottom edges are 200mm into the ground, like a fence, to form a chimney add some broken pallets, old dry scrap timber . . . come back in an hour the, with the family, some marshmallows, some pop and a few beers. . enjoy the heat off the stump fire, toast your, marshmallows. . .winner, should burn safely for 24 hrs, when it burns out, remove the old drums and spread the ash on your garden, . . you could even invite the guys and families, that work for you as a thank you. . make a proper party of it

Great job, mate. I would use the digger a few months ago. I ripped out a hedge row and a few ash tree's using Digger. It was fun getting the root balls out, but did it in the end 😂

I bet, as long as this was buried below 12” the rest can stay there haha.

Good family work 🤠 that stump with big roots would be over a ton so I’d guess a 5 ton digger is needed. Best to use your digger to expose the roots to cut off and use a chainsaw to reduce the size of the stump.

I just bought a cheap 2ton hand winch of scamazon for £20 specifically for rolling big logs and it does a grand job for the price

Glad you decided to mill up the ash and not turn it into firewood.

A guy said to me a couple years ago, “if it is strait and clean always mill it, everyone sells logs” 😂

I’d go with burning the stump out. Nice steady fire and enjoy it. Where did you get that combi fuel can from, I only use aspen fuel but decant it into my combi can. One of those would be handy
@finditfixitfarmit4 ай бұрын
I would if not right under the power lines 😂 it’s the official Aspen can. Very nice design. I done a video on it last year on the @Machinerynation

Stihl are the best brand around,,but they are becoming greedy as to their prices,,,it's allowing others into their share of the market,,,there are a number of ""second places"" Husqvarna,,Tanaka,Efco,,Not a bad video.💯👍🇬🇧
@finditfixitfarmit4 ай бұрын
Husqvarna and Stihl are very similar priced. Tanaka are no longer produced and EFCO are now Oleo-Mac and have a few good saws. Echo is also another good brand.

dig it out and use a chainsaw to cut it down to size
@finditfixitfarmit4 ай бұрын
I think that maybe the best option. Although I don’t really want the gurt stump left 😂

Don't think your digger is up to that job, stump grinder me thinks !

The digger would do it fine I recon, she’s 5 ton. Not sure I want to mess up the lawn to do so though haha
