Working as an arborist I often get questions about what gear I have on me, so this me going through the tree climbing gear on my harness.. This is what I have on me for pruning jobs, section fellings and rec climbing.

“I kind of want to protect and keep my eyes.” 😁 ya that sounds like the way I’d say it. Love my armor.

You said safety about 10 times. I applaud your safety approach...to many people lost their lives and seriously injured themselves forgetting about safety! Keep on ! you are doing the right things 👍

That’s right! Safety first. Who ever doesn’t believe that, should not be climbing.

Yes, I picked up a silky subat 330 last fall. I couldn’t believe how fast it could cut. It is definitely one of my favourite tools. And as usual I like your ending! 🇨🇦

The level of attention towards safety and the adaptability towards saving other and being rescued, is on point. That's the core of the type of training that I'm looking for here in the Northeast, US.

Good lord you should see my Treemotion S Light harness lol. I am a GEAR JUNKY!!! I love climbing trees. I’m a serious recreational climber and over the last year spent several thousand and am glad I did. You only live once so I’m going all in!!! Watched my Mom pass from cancer 6 months ago now my 2 uncles have it and are near dead so I appreciate every single day!!! Take care and thank you for sharing

I proof why you don’t get to comfortable with climbing and don’t forget safety.

Nice channel. You carry a lot of gear on your harness. When I started climbing in NZ we had a harness, 3 strand ropes, 3 strand prusik loops and steel core flip line. Most of the time we carried nothing else but a hand saw and tool strop for the 020 chainsaw. Sometimes all we climbed with was a linesman belt and spikes. That is basically like a thick belt that looks like the top half of a harness with 2 D loops and lanyard made of chain. No main line at all, just climbing spikes lanyard and a bit of bravado.

I agree with August but as a safety engineer in US North Carolina, I know equipment and practices are developed over time and for various reasons with varying experiences. Like the gear. All good stuff. Thanks for sharing.

I like the shots of gear use in the tree. We don't have the Echo 50v here, so I'm a bit jealous.
