They actually make a set up called an Alaskan sawmill that's the same set up but not home made. He made it work though.

По хода приближения к каждой последующей ступеньке с саморезами он их выкручивал, а в пройденную ступеньку закручивал обратно. Геморно, но дёшево.

Ближе к саморезам пауза, перекрутил их и дальше пили. В конце концов это не план гнать на ленточке, а для себя доски напилить. Не судите строго автора, идея рабочая 👍👍👍

Take the screws out of each singular rung on the ladder as you progress and replace behind the cut as you go. Slow but effective.

The video is edited to take out the part where he stops and takes out each screw, then puts it back, as he comes to it and then passes it. Look carefully, and stop it if you have to, to see he has taken out screw when he passes each spor with a screw.

It's not what you think..Before the chain saw passes thru screws they are unscrewed then transfered to the part where the chain had just sliced on the wood part..and the process is done again until the chain saw had sliced thru out..the process is time consuming though..its purpose is just to obtain a flat surface for the 2nd process to be applied..thats why the man used a smooth straight ladder as a guide for the initial process..😊

Good idea, but turn the chainsaw around for cutting with 100 % force when the chain is running in. Only 70% when the chain is running out.

Когда доходят до саморезов, их выкручивают, потом ставят на место. Если вы присмотритесь, то увидите, что саморезы выкручены, когда он пилит под ними. Неужели это не очевидно?)

The saw doesn't care which side of the bar it cuts on, and by cutting that way the chips fly away from you instead of ending up in a big pile on your feet. And you cut up until you almost get to the screws, remove them, cut past them, and then put them back in. The ladder is rigid enough to bridge it, as long as you have an extra set of screws in.

Creative! But I would have taken a thicker first cut to avoid the screws too. Even if you cut the log in half on the first pass, you still have the straight surfaces to make successive cuts. It is good thinking !

Now get a proper 10-degree chain instead of the standard 30-degree chain for cutting down timber. Better quality and way more efficient. Stihl has them in most sizes. You will also waste less wood.

Muitos estão preocupados com os parafusos serem cortados, segar a serra, enfim...... Antes do primeiro corte, há um nó no tronco, depois de retirar o primeiro corte não aparece mais, não sei como foi a edição do vídeo, a primeira fatia é fina , os parafusos podem ser rasos. Não acredito que por capricho, o operador da serra iria cortar os parafusos de metal. 🤔 Mas, eu faria um suporte nas extremidades do tronco, evitaria quaisquer imprevistos .
