We went to Snowdonia for an adventure and headed to the Devil's Kitchen to camp on the cliff top above Cwm Idwal which has a popular Llyn. It can be found in the incredible Ogwen Valley.
The ascent took in a severely steep climb which takes you straight up the mountain side near what's known as Devil's Appendix. We were wild camping at 710 metres high and had amazing views. It was a really hot day but the temperature dropped quite a lot at night being so high up. The following day we headed towards Snowdon to get a good viewpoint of it.

Can't believe you've never been up there Nic! I'll have to take you there one day, I promise you'll be blown away by it!! As good as the videos are they can never do it justice compared to the naked eye... talk about breath taking. I'm actually off up Snowdonia again in August to make a few videos and each time I go there it's as exciting as the first.

Great video guys, i was up on devils kitchen looking for a camping spot last monday night, everywhere around the lake higher up was far too boggy to pitch up, obviously you cant pitch around the lake so i was struggling so i ended up on a site just up the road on the foot of tryfan, you probably past it, i was running out of light so i had to go their however, im back in the DK on wednesday for another attempt...

Thank you I think higher up is the key the mountains in that area seem really shaley and don't hold much moisture. Good luck for Wednesday!

Good video, your actually not meant to camp down near the lake llyn idwal it’s one of the oldest nature reserves with rare plants. Looks like your pitch was great. I haven’t camped there but several other spots high up around the cwm. And llyn cwn too

Ah right lucky we didn't then I don't camp anywhere there is people about and find it really strange when someone tries to camp close to me! Lovely area that great views
