After seeing a weather window coming in, we flew into Plateau Hut to have a shot at climbing Mt Cook via the Linda route.

I love watching your videos and thank you for filming your sojourns up the apus!!! Absolutely honoring all three of you for the epic few days you had and for turning back when you were so close (I would say you succeeded for sure). Thanks for allowing us mere sea level peeps to have a glimpse of the magnificence of the alps!

If serious in the long term, I’d suggest you begin in your home town by building up good level of fitness and endurance, join a rock climbing club to learn some rope basics and then you could work towards a trip where you do a multi day mountaineering course. For example NZ alpine club offer these, but you will get the most bang for your buck if you’ve got a good base before attending. All the best 👍

Did you guys need ice tools to climb up or was an ice axe with crampons sufficient?

Guys, what conditions do you expect if that was horrendous snow? 5cm for skinning and what, 15cm-25cm for walking? How much better do you need it? You either ski in snow or on ice, either way you will have a bit of something, won't you? Sorry, a bit disappointed with the moaning about what I would say are amazing conditions....NZ or not
