Жыл бұрынIn this video some scammers tried to scam us out of 500K IRP and lied to use about the rules climbing mount Batur.
Mount Batur is still an active volcano, with the most recent eruption being in 2000. During the 1968 eruption of Mount Batur, red lava flowed into the caldera and to this day the black lava field can still be seen from the summit.

It seems to be an unpleasant part of Indonesian tourism. (Possibly trying to make up for the two years with few tourists). Like you we are happy to contribute but the fees are often excessive for the service they offer.

Yeah, it was an aggressive approach. We couldn’t afford the prices they started at because we only get by on money we earn from teaching. We would definitely recommend a guide!! 😊

Shame about the aggressive approach to the tourism around finding a guide - looks a beautiful experience to climb the mountain however 😅
