A short film about climbing Mount Elgon on the Ugandan side. Elgon is 4,321 metres above sea level with a total ascent of 2,458 metres. The national park is run by Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA) who also organised the porters, guides and cooks for our trip.

Thanks for the video! I spent a year teaching at Masaba SSS (next to Budadiri) in 1970 but never climbed to the top. Being a Massachusetts boy, I longed for the ocean and traveled to the coast of Kenya on my holidays instead. Nice to see what I missed!
