Personal combat isn’t something that most of us are likely to engage in any time soon but with seemingly increasing threats such as rioting, looting, home invasions, and active shooter situations, your ability to administer violence might just save your life and the lives of the people you care about.
That’s why I really enjoy my conversations with my guest today, Clint Emerson. He has made a career and life out of understanding violence and how to use it effectively. And, in his new book, 100 Deadly Skills: Combat Edition, he breaks down basic combat skills every man ought to learn and become proficient in.
SHOW HIGHLIGHTS
-Learning to fight from a book
-Training from all directions
-Turning on the violence
-Life or death scenarios
-Setting yourself up for the win
-Where confidence derives from
-The perishable skills of fighting
-Mastering the fundamentals
-Forcing yourself to get better
-How to keep yourself functioning
-Human performance centers

As soon as you see the guiill otines - gentlemen, it is time to mobilize. Take a run down to Georgia to see what we're up against. The guidelines are pretty clear. Will you look at Jova anyone with one eye can see

I would lean towards Krav as a go to "must know basics". Theres no training for "points" as in many other disciplines....Its "real world" training. My personal opinion.

So basically this is basic stuff you learn as a Infantrymen. Thank god I was conditioned to be violent naturally by Uncle Sam

What branch were you brotha? I’m 23 and can’t decide if I wanna enlist in the Marines or not, I wanna go infantry but there are no wars being fought directly by Marines that I’m aware of at least. & be honest here, was it worth it? I’m scared to move away from all my family and be on my own, especially for years. Thanks for your service man.

@@htokid7299 ...Marines are still deploying and still dying...and still getting treated like shit. I would highly suggest you look into other branches and the jobs they offer...even the Coast Guard. They work under Homeland security and their deployments are very good in very beautiful places...and it's not so slow speed as you might think. Right now as we speak they have balls to the wall in the Mediterranean Sea...0311 sounds good until you have to earn that pay...good luck though and I hope you make a wise decision.

@@user-mu5js6qn4q ...If your military teaches you to die and treats you like shit in order for you to get the message...well hell, have at it. In this country we like our men/women to stay above ground and if need be do the killing...we have a special place in our hearts for our death dealers.

@@jamesphillips5868 Soldiers are not counted as humans by any state. Only as resources that can be replenished at any moment. I don't underestimate importance of military for our security but this is how things work.

hey man, real talk... I'm not offended but anytime you here someone say "mexican kid" they come across as a bit racist... for future reference say "hispanic kid" it is a lot more respectful👍

@@wojohowitz5432 i applaud you for living in so many diverse locations thats awesome. I was born in TX and you place a judgement upon me, as well. Like most all of us I have a multitude of ethnicities in my bloodline. I am proud that some of my ancestors came from Mexico however I am 1000% American. Saying someone is hispanic especially if they are from this country is just due respect.

@@marksflores2533 the term Hispanic was invented for Political reasons and unfortunately does Not show respect for anyone. It lumps many ethnicities And cultures in to one, which denies acknowledgement of your own and everyone else’s diverse culture.
