It might be accurate to say that the quote could be used by opposing sides of an argument. I don't think that's a problem, in circumstances where both sides use evidence to make a case towards a truth, and perhaps fail to agree. We should also be awake to the weaponisation of the term "woke" by the right, which seems to be effective in distracting people from both specific and general injustices. We can be woke without losing sight of one or the other. Meantime the right has us fighting amongst ourselves, mainly because they have to shut down such a powerfully emotive term.
