She appeared to show him respect for that, given that she, too, took out her knife, even though she knew perfectly well that was completely unnecessary, as he posed literally zero danger to her. She was willing to give him a "warrior's death" on "equal terms" of sorts, rather than just ignominiously kill him. Morality she might not have, but some kind of respect for a fighting spirit definitely.

People who complain about "too much destruction" in this movie don't realize that these are a bunch Kryptonians fighting with one another under a yellow sun. For them, it's like fighting in a world made of cardboards. Any realistic portrayal would show the inevitable destruction.

@@V1b2910 Even without their powers, kryptonians are still a force to be reckoned with, their incredible and insane skills, intelligence/scientific intellect or genius superior to many species in the galaxy coupled with their amazingly, extraordinarily advanced technology that's almost second to none or literally second to none rivaled perhaps only by new genesis. Now with their superpowers, holy cow, you can see why this is truly a formidable and remarkable species. No wonder even one of the, if not literally the most dangerously powerful and evil being or big bad in the DC universe avoids them.

4:07 and 7:30. Now this is a terrifyingly realistic depiction of an invincible opponent in our world. They have no fear and will not hesitate. They have no reason to be otherwise. The only flaw is the bodies not becoming dismembered. Absolutely nothing you can do to stop them from going after you and squishing your soft and mushy body.

Antje Traue is so beautiful. She shines in this fight as Faora-Ul. The quick motions and speed they gave her was just amazing, especially the way she wipes out the soldiers. I want to see her beautiful face in more movies.

It’s crazy not only seeing three kryptonians can do this amount of destruction but also, Kal El (Clark) having no battle experience was able to put an incredible fight against two well trained kryptonians specifically made to be warriors and come out as the victor!

because Kal had been absorbing Earth’s Sun radition, for almost 33 years, if Zod’s team could adaptive to live on Earth about one month, i think they will break Kal easily, especialy Zod, even he’s more older than Kal. The fight scene actually gave justice to “grounding” flight well as they gave justice in showing the gravitas for a seemingly low-gravity scene. Every attempts of Superman to fly was constantly hampered by the kryptonian soldiers by making him grounded to have a more devastating impact than just flying and punching. Fight while flying trope is easily undermined as there is no sense of direction and impact with only punches if you are above but they did a fantastic job to really make it feel as if they are hurt in this scene by limiting one’s capability of flying itself.

yea people were really, really critical of these movies. I thought they were much more interesting than like, Black Panther or Captain Marvel. Honestly, notice how there's no comedies anymore? I think the MCU kind of took the place of comedies, it's why the point of every scene in them is the joke or tension 1-liner. The criticisms they leveled at the Snyder-verse just seemed like nonsense, stuff like, "Superman isn't hopeful enough" is the one I saw the most and it's... just what? What does that even mean?

I don’t understand how people dislike this movie it so much heart put into it, the cgi is phenomenal, and the fights just keep my jaw dropped when he was fighting zod all the destruction and even took the fight up into space 👏😱 loved it #restorethesnyderverse

That’s all it is, speculation. They don’t like it because take away the name and who are you left with, not Superman. Cavil could have done a great job but he was never given anything to work with. And it’s a well known thing in Hollywood that’s he’s not a nice person and is insufferable to be around

It was simply a different approach to the comic book movie in a cinema world where every comic book movie was established to be a safe non risky, partial comedy popcorn ride for the whole family to see, say "best marvel movie yet" and get excited for the next safe and samey movie but then forget about what they just saw afterwards. Wash, rinse and repeat. Man of Steel dared to bring up questions like "How would the real world react to a Superman? Would they REALLY welcome him in open arms treating him like a messiah figure in a post 9/11 world? would villains with supermans abilities really 'care to step outside' to fight superman so buildings wouldn't get destroyed?" etc.

Man of Steel and Transformers have the same story almost similar, Cybratron & Krypton are destroyed, Zod and Megatron try to rebuild their planet, and Optimus and Superman chose humanity over the survival of their planet, Zod tries to bring Krypton to Earth which is also shown in TF: dark of the moon, rebuild Cybertron in earth
