In regard to the Tatum/Brown controversy ... Mazulla says, "They love each other." Really ? I have been suspecting friction between those two for a couple of years now and so have a lot of other fans. What clinched it for me was Tatum's reaction when Brown won the ECF MVP award. Everyone was backslapping Brown and overjoyed for Brown. Tatum was in the background with a forced smile and passively clapping his hands. No one in the Celtic organization wants to admit the truth for obvious reasons. Most NBA players have big egos. Tatum is soft spoken but has an oversized ego.

Glenn that's total bullshit speculation though. First, reading into Tatums reaction is like the exercise of the Rorschach test, you see what you want. I'm pretty sure I saw him with his hand on JBs shoulder and a big smile. Not sure what you expect from a guy who is never emotive. They've been on a team for several years now and the only people worrying about their relationship are people who have no freaking clue or insight.

Actually I think JT is smart enough to realize that maybe JB's winning of the ECF MVP increases the likelihood that he will be granted the Finals MVP if the C's can win it all. (The NBA had to show JB a little love, respect & acknowledgement along the way because they know he deserves it). It would have been classless and unworthy to give JT "both" the ECF MVP and the Finals MVP while JB got nothing, as both players have been standouts in their play.

It's really so impressive what he's done. I get so uneccasarily angry when people go in or say he's gonna "cost" us a chip or the asinine stephen a "we would already have one if ime were here" take. Ive never seen this team as unified in their approach and mentality and overall humility to do what's best for the team.

@@nickgilday8946 Under Ime, the offense was no good; his coaching philosophy was defense. We kept turning the ball over a lot and blowing leads, and when we were in the NBA Finals two years ago, he decided to play drop coverage against Steph, which was terrible.

@@nickgilday8946 Joe said that his gift in life is building relationships with people, and that's why he got into coaching. And it's not as easy as most people think. The key ingredients to a good relationship between a coach and an NBA player are getting them to accept your coaching style and knowing your role in every game.
