+Daniel's Game Vault the radio power circuit is separate to the clock power supply on the board, The clock power failed first yet the display kept going however with unfiltered dirty dc on it, then you here the music get slightly louder and then 50Hz line hum comes through the speaker as the radio filter cap pops and goes open. over-voltage dc eventually destroys the display driver. To really understand how it failed we need to see the circuit.

The Duracell Bunny came before the Energizer Bunny. However, Duracell failed to renew the bunny trademark in time in the U.S. and Energizer snatched it to create their competing mascot. The Duracell Bunny still lives on in Europe.

Ah yes....I remember these ones. The clock-pop was funny, because it was cranked-up slowly.....until it popped. :-D I do believe we also had some flames in there too. :-) As for the rabbit, I was hoping that it's motors would arc-out or something, then create a big WHOOOMPH with a gush of fire. Another entertaining trick is to get a 20w fm transmitter exciter rack mount device with adjustable output power and connect the antenna out to the fm radio antenna in, this smokes the fm receiver, play music through the transmitter /radio receiver til it pops, slowly crank up the fm power. Use a blank part of the broadcast band for the test.

Ah, the one with the rabbit. I remember that from before. The first part was particularly enjoyable, something about fizzing, popping and small sparks in the tiny components.
