That's understandable. The clopay doors at home depot are a sturdy gauge metal and they have a nice paint job. When these doors are installed well they do have pretty nice performance too. They will usually have 8x7 and 9x7 in stock at the store, but can also be customized for different sizes, colors, embossing, windows, and insulation. I've installed a bunch of them and they will usually have all the stuff you need inside the box. Including tracks, springs, cables etc. So they are definitely a good buy. The main things that can cumbersome could be transporting the unit from the store and to avoid purchasing a previously opened unit. But those two logistical obstacles have nothing to do with the product itself. Home depot could also deliver the unit straight to your home to make things a little more convenient. Anyway, sorry for the rant Lol but I'm with you. I myself would install clopay again and would feel confident in doing so!

@@jdcalame6714 sometimes you'll get lucky and find ones with windows in the store. Home depot usually keeps their garage doors back near the regular residential doors. I think I understand why you ask that. Whenever I'm at home depot I may see garage doors with windows next to the regular ones. The ones with windows seem nice in comparison because the stores usually stock just a few units as they take up a lot of space... So, when they have an "in stock" garage door with windows, they will also be insulated. I think the store does this to give you a cheaper option (no windows, no insulation) vs a more "premium" option including both windows and insulation. On my house I prefer to have an insulated door as I am in the garage a lot. It's good for climate control and will actually minimize street noise. Keep in mind that you can go to the home depot website and customize a garage door if you want/dont want certain options. Otherwise, they are the same door with or without the windows/insulation. They have the same thickness metal panels, and same hardware. The included springs may fluctuate in size based on how heavy a door you get. Heaviness is based on the size of the door, insulation levels, windows, struts. If you are a diy person, you can go to the store and a person from the door department will typically be the one to help you order something specific or assist you in getting an in stock door on your shopping cart. Additional people are in the front of the store who can assist you with getting the garage door into your truck. If you already have an idea of what you want, then Clopay has a garage door design website where you can customize and then show the home depot ppl/make an order. I guess it sounds like I work for home depot, but I don't Lol But yeah man, the doors start as the same base model and then the add ons are what change the product. So bells and whistles aside, you don't have to worry about one model being inferior to another as far as manufacturing goes.

@@jdcalame6714 understood. Yeah man, I remember when I got mine. I got a Stratford 3000 with windows right before they phased out the series. I lucked out because they offered me a discount seeing as it would soon be discontinued. But yeah, I have insulation with a steel back and windows and when I use a space heater in the garage it keeps the heat in. I had bought it before the whole pandemic thing and that's luck lol otherwise I really do like the old school proprietary hinges that Aamar used to use. Now they all have standard hardware and the whole inflation thing is cramping everyone's style... Bleh Oh man if I had a higher ceiling I would have done 15" radius track for that ultra smooth performance... At least I was able to jam a standard 12" radius track in there... But any taller and I would have been forced to use a low profile track and brackets... Which I didn't want to do... And I don't recommend using the low profile brackets unless you have a gdo. Otherwise that top panel will just flop around up there. Anyway, happy designing my man. I've been told that availability/lead times with aamar are improving... Can't speak so much about current prices, but at least it's becoming possible to do cool s***t again in the industry
