CLOSING IN ON WORLD RECORD! Pokemon FireRed Elite 4 Round 2 SPEEDRUN IN

Closing in on World Record! Another solid improvement and a NEW Personal Best! This run definitely had the potential to beat the World Record but unfortunately hit a few bumps, especially the Gloom in Berry forest (lol) and the situation in the Rocket Warehouse which I had never encountered before. Safari Zone and Power Plant were great. Mewtwo was good enough. Ultimately a very good run! Be sure to LIKE the video!
Pokemon Fire Red Elite 4 Round 2 means the run ends after beating Elite 4 for the second time! The Elite 4 have better and higher levelled Pokemon this time around. In order to unlock the second round, you have to first unlock the National Dex, which requires you to capture 60 unique Pokemon. During a normal Pokemon Speedrun the catching of Pokemon is limited to Pokemon that will be used for HM's like Fly and Surf. In Pokemon FireRed E4R2 the catching of 60 unique Pokemon adds a whole new element to the run and requires on the fly adaptation and a lot of game knowledge.

It's part of the speedrun category. The timer ends after you beat the second round of the (more difficult) elite four. In order to unlock the second round (R2) you have to get the national dex, which prof. Oak gives you after you have caught 60 unique Pokemon. This is why this speedrun is so interesting, because in a normal Pokemon speedrun you don't want any encounters at all. In this run you not only need encounters, but need the correct encounters too.

A minute and a half behind is not closing in bruh lol. That's a lifetime in a speedrun. Even if you did beat it by pure, sheer dumb luck then Pokeguy, who is still super active, would take it back from you within a month like a candy from a baby. Move on bruh.
