About the Road COMETA :
*Viação COMETA S.A. is an intercity bus company in Brazil. For decades, it operated lines in the southeast region of Brazil, based on a North American model, taking its inspiration from the company Greyhound Lines. The buses were built on Duralumin bodies, the uniform was similar to that of the Air Force (with little difference in colors) and operated radio communication systems between its bases and support points at a time when communications were complicated and still in their infancy in Brazil . It is one of the pioneers in interconnections in the Southeast region, and one of the oldest in the connection between the Southeast (more specifically São Paulo) with the first state in the south of the country (Paraná).
Its lines are based from São Paulo to the interior and coast of the same state, in addition to interstate lines to Paraná, as mentioned above, Rio de Janeiro and Minas Gerais. The more traditional line, São Paulo-Rio de Janeiro, operated since 1951, was transferred in 2002 to Expresso do Sul, a semi-affiliated company of the new controlling group of COMETA : Grupo JCA.
