Part 2 of my lesson about squaring the clubface at impact. This time, the focus is more technical, as I discuss exactly what the wrists and hands do in the golf swing and how they affect the clubface at impact.

It's so great that a fantastic golfing pro such as yourself will go into so much detail to help us struggling amateurs get better at golf. Wish more of the tour pros would do this but I don't blame them, it's a lot of work putting out these videos. Thank you Padraig I very much appreciate these.

THIS is the best golf instruction I've seen! The drill "stop and brace at impact" totally changed my perception of the release. Practiced this on the driving range yesterday morning and the result was the most dramatic I've ever experienced in my 35 years of playing golf! Not only a huge increase in distance but also how it affected the ball flight. Instantly in a couple of swings, I started hitting high towering 4-irons with lovely distance control... From having had a total distance of around 195-200 yards with my 4-iron I now CARRIED it 220 with quick stop due to the much higher ball flight but with a much more compressed and powerful strike... Worked with all clubs from wedges through to driver. Took it straight out to the course as my only swing thought... Hey presto! Almost like a miracle! Thanks Padraig!! You've changed my golf in ONE lesson 😃

Love the pendulum analogy: If the pivot point (hands) of the pendulum is moving too much through impact, the weight at the bottom of the pendulum (club head) physically cannot reach its maximum speed.

Best thing in this video is when he says impact pictures are "a still picture of a dynamic motion". So many people see still pictures of impact and say "look at that great forward shaft lean". They don't realize that in real time the clubhead is catching up and over taking the hands.

They are absolutely invaluable for someone like me who is only starting out learning the game and struggling big time. I don't think I've ever seen a clearer and more informative tutorial on this subject before. I now have a much better idea of what my wrists should be doing through the swing. Padriag 's teachings transformed me. I watched his video on chipping and practised it and this past Saturday I shot 76 as a 13 handicap which was my best round in 22 years. I am now matucilously going through all of his vodeos and learn so much from a real master. I was on the verge of giving up this crazy sport but thanks to Paddy, I am so inspired to play my best at 60. Thank you so much Padriag for sharing your knowledge and wisdom with me. In South Africa there is an abundance of talented golfers and I ried following their tips over tge years but never really worked for me..... I never thought an Irish man would save me!!!!!!!!!
