they tried to make wiggins a 1 but he really excelled at the 2 in golden state. hope he comes back soon. we need his defense. its even more apparent now as of late in his absence. hope everything is okay tho

Ya think? I have lost patience with this absence. There are only so many family issues humanly possible. Most high-paying jobs expect an employee to get the help at home to allow him the breadwinner to come back to work.

I think that's fair to say at this point in his career. but, I strongly believe where you are in your career arc and situationally - team / culture wise -at that point in time when you are made a one makes a great difference. it is very possible that he could have indeed been a dominant number one if say, he was drafted to an organization like Golden State instead of Minnesota.

"Wiggins locked up Ja/Luka/Taytum? They avg like 35" - Yup, and they still lost. No one can truly "lock up" primary offensive options, but having the best defender against best offensive option changes their game plan and prevents them from executing easy buckets or doing what they want (aka slowing them down enough to prevent them making a larger impact and from winning).

I liked Wiggins coming into the nba. I thought him with bron would’ve been great for his career but they traded him for love. I knew the t’wolves wouldn’t showcase wiggins true potential(even though he averaged 20ppg during his stay in Minnesota). Warriors gave Wiggins the life he needed and he showed up and showed out. Got a ring too

I think yall should look at the stats more before you come put saying stuff like this. Luka shot 50% on wiggins so he didnt lock up at all. Luka shot poorly against others which is strange cause wiggins was their best defender. Luka averaged 32 9 and 5 amd just because his primary defender was wiggins and luka shot 42% overall doesnt mean wiggins locked him up. But i am used to media being so short in their brain that they just generalize stuff like this.

@@ChaposShoota yeah that series, not vs Wiggins. If you don't understand how it works, then don't bother replying. Wiggins wasn't the only one defending Luka the entire series. You can find matchup stats of how Luka did vs each of Warriors defenders in that series on the NBA site. He was more effective vs Wiggins than the other defenders in total. That's my point.
