I'm surprised you didn't mention Bubblegum's line from Stakes, "Someday when you die I'll be the one who puts you in the ground". Morbid, yes, but also who is usually responsible for arranging someone's funeral or "putting them in the ground"? Their family or their partner.

Why do people always miss ‘All The Tiny People’? During the scene Finn shakes the bag out, it looks like Marceline falls into Bubblegum’s lap. Bubblegum looks down at Marceline in not a friendly way, and Marceline is smiling up at Bubblegum with her arms extended upward. I mean yes, the episode is more about Tiny versions and may not be ‘canon’ but still.

My theory of the bubblin timeline: I think they broke up ultimately because PB didn’t believe she could trust anyone after the uncle fiasco, she needed to control those around her to ensure she doesn’t get betrayed and she can’t control Marcie like that. She knows Marcie cares about her a lot but she can’t implement Marcie into her plans if she insists on winging it. Marcie is at a stage in her life where she is super defensive when it comes to her loved ones due to her own family issues. She chose not to rule the Nightosphere so she can’t truly understand the pressure PB is under and minimises her concerns and need for order. So in Marcie’s opinion, she hasn’t given PB any reason not to trust her, so when she is cast aside rather than invited into PB’s plans she’s truly angered by it. The two don’t talk again until Finn forces them to, they both love Finn and want him to be happy so they each decide they should be civil for the sake of not making Finn uncomfortable. This opens the window to texting about Finn, purely for logistics. Then they slowly begin to be friendly and build a friendship, this time based on the mutual respect caring about Finn brings. Finn allows them to team up on busting baddies without either of them having to compromise. They can use their variety of strengths to win wars rather than believing the best way is their way. I think they needed that time apart to grow up. They’re immortal so what’s a few hundred years between friends?

I noticed one other notable thing. Marceline usually wears at least some red clothing, which could be an emergency food source for her. In general, there are only TWO times when you DON'T see her with some red clothing, when she is at home (where she presumably makes sure she has plenty of red things on hand)....and when she is WITH Bubblegum, which indicates she trusts Bubblegum to also make sure there is something for her to eat (indeed, was we saw in the cave, Bubblegum can BE that emergency food supply if necessary.) It's almost like someone with dangerous allergies trusting a close friend to carry their epi-pen, or a diabetic their glucometer/insulin/glucose tablets.)

I like how the relationship was developed, because we later knew they dated back when PB was building her kingdom, that PB support Marceline on her music band, they broke up because of their different lifestyle, but you can see they still love each other and that it hurt them, then marceline went travel around the world for a 100 years, while PB ended her kingdom, I bet they talked about it, fell in love again, Marceline grew up in stakes and PB learned how to have a personal life and not all bussiness, theu grew up, and finally their love could be stable and healthy for both, they were meant to be together

Marcy + PB just feels so natural for me that I just thought it was confirmed canon for the longest time, maybe since the truth door episode. They are so adorable together, and (spoilers for Fionna and Cake ahead)... ... I'm so glad they're so gay in every universe they appear.

Im really surprised i did not know about the sock fact. Other details-the sweater marcy wears in marceline and hunson is PB’s sweater in Stakes. Also, in that episode the ghost she performs with is performed by PB’s voice actress.
