9:38 here's the thing. In Japan this shit was real. Like no joke delenquents would deadass start gangs with a bunch other kids to. Usually the age range would be from 12-17. Even the author uses to be in these types a gangs. And it was ESPECIALLY bad during the 80's and 90's. Luckily it died down during the 2000's since the cops now considered them psuedo Yakuza.

@@adem1829 elementary school is usually started at either 5 or 6 depending on birthday. You stay in elementary school for 7 years (American equivalent K-6).. middle school you start around 12 or 13 depending on age. You stay for 3 years (7th, 8th, and 9th). Depending on your birthday you are either 14 or 15 when you graduate middle school. And year 1 of middle school yeah its pretty much the same. But by year 2 and 3, you are more learning about what you wanna do and be in life so that you can go to a high school specialized or geared towards that.

For potential rhetoric info about middle school years in Japan from U.S. conversion: grades K-6 = Elementary grades 7-9 = Middle grades 10-12 = High School notes: In Japan you can technically start* Kindergarten at age 3 if you want. Also, high school is highly competitive because it's not required by government / basically are for-profit school. High schools in Japan sort of take on the same problem as Colleges in America. They're not required to pursue your dreams... but basically are required at the same time for the vast majority of potential professions.

Idk if matters but for them over there, they got like 4 years of middle school or some shit. So they basically only got 3 years of high school. So they go into high school at around.... I guess 14-15 and get out the same age we do, 18
