My clutch master cylinder broke when my clutch pedal fell to the floor after the tob/slave failed.
In this video, I show you what the clutch master cylinder is and how to remove it.

Yeah sorry I commented to early. I’m having an issue with my first gear and reverse going into gear it has to be shoved. Thinking it’s the TOB or slave cylinder. It currently has stage 2 southern clutch in it now. What are your thoughts? Just sucks because the trans has to come out to replace clutch. I had the mechanic bleed the clutch and bunch of black stuff came out he said this should help drove off and clutch with straight to the floor. Thought the master would have been broken but he left the hydraulic line loose so it popped out he fixed it today and it shifts a bit better but still thinks the tob or pressure plate is just not disengaging right. Any thoughts? You have another way to contact you?

Hey dude, you can contact me on Instagram. I check my messages there a lot more often. My Insta: jacesownworld Yes. That sounds like your TOB/slave is going out. I would def be planning on a new clutch asap. How long have you had your SB Stage 2? It does suck, and I feel for you man. I have been through so many clutches with this car, it’s been pretty stressful. What are your mods? If you are IS38 or lower, I would recommend going back to DMF, and getting the Sachs Performance clutch. That’s what I have now. I love it. More OEM feeling, and I have a lot more confidence in it because it’s made by Sachs. Also, it easily holds IS38 power, and even some guys run it on EQT hybrids no issue.

i'm having a slight chirping at very low rpm when accelerating (mk7 gti 6MT eqt stage 2) i'm fairly certain it's the clutch fork and pivot stud from doing a little research and this finally makes the most sense w the symptoms i'm having, does this sound sort of correct? Saw that i should be fine to drive on it for now but definitely plan on replacing, (hence watching this video) just wanted to see what other opinions are without taking it to mechanic to diagnose.

Sounds like the ton/slave is failing. Fine to drive but it could completely fail at any moment tbh.

You don’t have to remove the transmission to do this?

No. This is the clutch master cylinder. The slave cylinder/tob is what sits inside the trans. Two completely different things. See video

@@JacesOwnWorld it all started with removing the pedal spring as suggested by videos on KZfaq to make your GTI suck less. Made me loose stability and parts causing the pedal not to be reliable anymore

Decided to buy the whole pedal used on eBay. Spring and all because my assembly broke one of the ears where it latches into while trying to remove it. Learned my lesson
