Cass, I am starting to try to crawl out of this hole. My son was killed in a car accident in 2020 and my whole life spiraled. I have not scrubbed my floors for four years. My twin sister, little sister, and mother could not handle my grief and abandoned me. I gained back the 70 pounds I had lost. I am doing the bare minimum to keep this house afloat. Things fell into disrepair and getting them fixed put us in a bunch of debt. All this while finding out and coming to terms with the fact that I have ADHD. You are the first life preserver I have been thrown. I've been binging your videos for a couple days now. So far, just watching and not doing, but I'm hoping to get there. I'm only first now starting to breathe again.

Tami, I'm so sorry for the loss of your precious son. I wish you well. Someone I'd like to point you to is, The Crappy Childhood Fairy, her writing process. I love Cass & her friends Dawn -The Minimal Mom, & Dana A Slob Comes Clean. They are the trifecta of decluttering & organizing for me. Happy watching! 😊

So sorry for what has been thrown at you. I have no advice as I’m no success at this stuff and going through my own grief, but I’d like to send you much encouragement as you work it out. The positive is that you’re here and listening to Cass. That’s a very good place to start.

please keep crawling!!!! I am so so sorry for your loss. But, I hope that your life gets a bit better each day. I also hope that you can forgive your family someday. Try not to hate them or hold it against them, even though they may not deserve to be forgiven because it only hurts us when we can't forgive others. That is awful that they abandoned you but ask the Lord to help you and to bring you the right friends to be your family. And when we are at our lowest and saddest times, it is so hard to think about others, but at some point, it does help to help others. I am praying for you right now.

So earlier this week, I was doing some decluttering. At one point, I was having an issue trying to decide if I should throw a few things away or try to donate. At that moment I knew it would be awhile before I could donate. Then it hit me, "hey! Cass gave me permission just to throw it away." And I did. 😂

🎉❤🎉Hooraaahy!!! As long as it's out of your house, does it really matter if you control it's destiny from there? Is it worth the sanity that space making could bring to your household instead to keep it on the fence or more important to make that space? We just went through a huge declutter and still going... don't want to lose traction. We spent 2 weeks preparing for a houseguest and then a week of my husband's vacation time with the kids home just cleaning and clearing. A stay cation of catching up from our move out here. And for the 1st time in a year, we could see visible progress!!!It is so motivating! The kids love it so much they even help, now!!! Without yelling. Sometimes.

Anytime I'm decluttering my place or my aunt's apartment and I don't feel like trekking to a thrift shop to drop off items, I leave the useful stuff on the curb or outside of my aunt's building's dumpsters. Someone ALWAYS picks these things up very quickly.🥳🥳🥳

For me, because the donation center is really close, and the second hand place is a farther drive, Cass gave me permission to just donate these really nice, dressy, still in fashion work clothing that doesn't fit me. I am not so poor that I have to burn fossil fuel, to make the maybe $12 I would have made. Instead, I chose to get this nice clothing to someone who it fits, faster, and cheaper for them. But most importantly, it all went out of my house!

I am recovering from Colitis and the medication wakes me up at night. So, I use that time to "catch up" on things. I have a beautiful desk! My dishes are done every day. The refrigerator, pantry, and cleaning supplies are organized. I am down to 2 rooms that are not tidy. I didn't plan to do the pantry - I just did it. Of course, the closets, cupboards, and drawers need to get done, but I'm chipping away at it. Before the plumber came one day, I emptied the cupboard under the sink, decluttered, and made room for a recycle bin, which keeps that clutter off the counter. I work on this little by little when I'm not watching Clutterbug, then I reward myself by watching and rewatching your videos. My GIANT goal is to have my house be The White House. It is white with brown trim, but the yard needs work, the rooms need work, and I have other projects that need work. So, I cut the pie into pieces and do some of it every day. As for writing, on The Waltons, the episode called The Literary Man brings a writer to the mountain. He tells John-boy to write the little stories because the sum of them could be the BIG story. That's one thing I'm doing, so my stories are available to my daughter when I'm no longer here. Sorry for the rant. Your videos are wonderful.

My sweet friend Cas, there is a high percentage of people in jail who have adhd. I want to say so many things to you for encouragement. We all need that. I just love you, look up to you, and can relate to you so much. This is definitely one of your purposes in life. God is using you to help others, and I hope you can see that. I appreciate you including your super fun sense of humor. I truly wish you were a personal friend. It will sound so weird, Im sure, but I trust you and would be okay to have you in my home and not feel the shame as I do with literally everyone else. I have been struggling for years. It is a deep and wide hole. I wish you were close by and I could get your help in my home. But for today I really wanted to just say Thank you, I appreciate you, and tell you you are an inspiration.😊

Hi Cass, I'm a relatively new subscriber to your two KZfaq channels. I've been watching for about 4 months or so. I didn't know your background with drugs, alcohol, jail, criminal record, homelessness, and just struggling to "do life well" until you mentioned it in this episode. I've been through all the same things in my past. I'm 16 years clean & sober, but still struggle at times to "do life well". I've been having a more difficult time the last few years as depression is ramping up and it seems my ADHD is as well. I have fibromyalgia, spinal issues, and chronic pain, which can be devastating on their own, but when you throw all the other stuff on top of it, life feels paralyzing. I recently got a new, challenging, really cool job that I'm amazed I was chosen for, and so grateful to have, but it's definitely stressful having to learn a lot of new work stuff at once. I feel like a fraud when I leave work and go home to sit on my couch all weekend and stare at my cluttered, unorganized house, and get all anxious and upset with myself. Then I go back to work and act like the bubbly, intelligent, confident person I am there.... All while wishing I could figure out how to deal with all my issues outside of work. I have a great life. Two awesome dogs, a loving husband and family, a great job, wonderful friends, and I'm pretty healthy, even though I feel like crap most of the time. I LOVE your advice, tactics, strategy, and approach to dealing with a lot of the issues many people face in their homes, and life in general. I've been in a depressed rut for over a year, and can't seem to make any headway on my house goals, or general well being life goals. Your advice seems the best way for me, a 41yo woman with rebellious tendencies and rampant ADHD that's similar to your own, to try and approach my goals in a way that will actually materialize visible results. My ideas and plans are often too lofty and intimidating for me to achieve. I'm rambling like crazy, but I just wanted to say thank you for putting out your content. It's so appreciated and life changing for people like me who feel like they can't relate to 99% of the advice from organizers on social media. You're awesome! Please keep putting out your great advice and energy into the world. I'll be here waiting to learn from you and share your advice with others who need it ❤🤟🤗💗

Cass, you are the BOSS! I’ve been following you for some time now and I have embraced the life of “DECLUTTERING” Thank you for opening my eyes. I make a list of decluttering areas from the inside of the house, to the shed, the garage and even the yard (clearing brush & weeds) The other day I asked my wife to give me 15 minutes and come to basement. She knew I was tossing my stuff and I offered to carry out anything that she wanted to move along. She said “I don’t want to get rid of my stuff”!! In this moment, I dug deep and called up my inner Cass. “I can’t make you get rid of your stuff. It’s not my job to worry about your stuff. I just offered to lug anything that you pointed to” Just like taking out the kitchen trash….

Yes, I through out a lot and had some things to donate. Some how I started to look at the big picture. Slacked off...dang! Then I started looking all I had to do and then I listened to you. I started looking at how much or that mountain you mentioned. Think I am going to put on one of your podcast and do one thing every day, again. 15 min. for 30days can add up to7-8 hrs. a month I can do this. Oh I was able to save a lot by putting $1 away a day. It was amazing how much that helped. Some days more. So if I can do that I can do anything, thanks Cass.

Evenings when I had a case of I don't want to, I knew I would be mad the next morning if I missed a star. Hubby had a sudden unexpected quad by pass. I'm going to put myself and my home in my schedule starting today! Thank you for the motivation! I do have a picture in my head of what I want things to look like. I just need to do it. 😊❤ Love you!

I've vacuumed and mopped the floor in my studio while listening to this podcast. Not that I'm too proud of myself about it, but still I's a pleasant thing I can cross out 2 lines out of my to do list for today 😅 I'm also a Queen of Procrastination... 🤦🏻‍♀️👸

Do you even know how GOLDEN this is? I had in theory figured this out with arm workouts. I was skipping arm day for months and months and had so much resistance. Don’t laugh, but I forced myself to work out my arms with dumbbells consistently every single day for TEN SECONDS a day! Lol, it sounds ridiculous, but it broke through the resistance and now I work my arms out every single day and it’s usually more like five minutes, but I’m seeing results from it, believe it or not! Thank you for putting all this into words because I’m so excited to put this to work with my housework. I have been cleaning only in an all-day on Saturdays type of way which somehow leads to an always messy house and feeling overwhelmed. This has given me hope!!

Not concentrating o the "BIG" goal is how I learned to walk and loose crutches after a spin injury. In the beginning you are so motivated, you make huge progress, but after the first year, progress is miniscule that you cannot even see it. So how do you motivates yourself yor the "long run"? Like you said - form a habit and DO. Just dont stop doing. Because at one point, that big goal, walking without crutches, seemed to go more far away. I had to trust that I will experience some progress over the time. It took me 4,5 years (I was able to walk, but with a crutch early, but it was extremely hard in the beginning). And after 4,5 years I even reached my "gold standard" - walking barefoot on a sandy beach.

Try getting some fitness "games" on the Wii. (Wii sports, dancing, yoga, fitness...) They fit nicely into that 10-30 minute gap and some of them keep track of the time you have spent being active right in the program. Love your podcasts; never start following other people's trends. Love you being your genuine self.

OMG, you are Amazing !!! I have been watching you for a few years now, and I didn't realize you struggled earlier in life with so many severe challenges. You have my utmost respect and admiration...you seem so perfect to me, as much as a person can be; I had assumed that you grew up in a very polite and well-adjusted way, and that you had been blessed to have a very stable and secure background. The fact that you have turned everything around so beautifully is incredible...What an example...

The fact that a 35 minute video was posted 35 minutes ago is funny tome 😂 Also I’ve been getting things done this week and I’ve been awake for 6, 3hr rem sleep nap, then awake for 9 hrs, then sleeping 6. And thats been on a 1 pm start time. Ideal? No but it’s working. So the do this that way this way isn’t needed is relevant lol

Cas, I’ve followed you for years and I think this video is the most impactful I’ve ever listened to. For some reason now it feels like I can do this if you did it! Just think of how accomplished you are! A successful wife and mother, business woman, influencer, fitness example… It’s because you’ve “been there” people can relate to you. Much love my friend- so proud of you!

Love you, Cass. Thank you for being open and honest. Thank you for letting us know that you didn’t jump up one day and say I’m going to go crazy and do all things I need to do, yadayadayada . You committed to do one thing for 15 minutes. I love it that you didn’t say must do one certain thing. I could go on and on. I love that you talk about people who have goals yet have self sabotage and the way to progress towards out goals. You’ve helped me so much as well everyone who has listened to you!!!! And pairing with Dawn and Dana. Triple Positive Threat ❤️💪🙌

Whew! This podcast was the kick in the butt I needed. I’m preparing to launch my own KZfaq channel, but, like the name… I struggle with perfectionism and I get In My Own Way of just doing it. Just do it. Baby steps breakdown of my To-Do list and just get ‘er done 🤦‍♀️

Ok!!! Picked 15 “trash” to throw away!!!! And tomorrow I’ll set reminders so I don’t get distracted doing not so important things and instead, I’ll work hard for 15min on my projects. Even if it’s just to seat in front of the computer and trying to understand where to begin with! 😅 Thank You!!!!!!!! And it’s almost unbelievable that you went through so much when you were younger. When was you turning point? Do you know the exact moment that you realized that God had other plans for you? 🙏

Whilst watching this video I emptied the dishwasher, cleaned a cupboard and a draw and took out the rubbish. Quick hoover and mop and the kitchen is done ☑️ This is my Monday job, Tuesday and Friday is bathroom and Wednesday is bedrooms and Thursday is living room. I have other lists on top of that ie a load of washing every day but it means my whole weekend is pretty much free. Xx 😘
