The Rapture was First Taught by Jesus:
The Rapture is a doctrine started and taught by Jesus, continued and spread by His disciples, and believed and passionately lived out by His Church. The early church heard and understood this doctrine of Christ’s any-moment return and radiantly lived, looking for ways to please Him when He came to rescue them.
James, in the first NT letter, said that Christ was standing at the door (5:7). The second NT book was I Thessalonians, and every chapter shines with Rapture-induced hope-filled expectancy (1:9-10; 2:19-20; 3:13; 4:13-18; 5:23).
Paul’s epistles, from start to finish, are seasoned with the flavor of a focused life awaiting Christ, as in Philippians 3:20, where we, as citizens of Heaven, eagerly await Jesus. Paul confesses this in his last words of II Timothy 4, where he talks about His crown “at that day” when Jesus comes.
Peter says the same, going so far as to ask what kind of lives we should lead because we know the future (II Peter 3:11 ).
John’s Epistles are the same, in I John 3:2-3 he says that this “hope” causes us to purify our daily life looking for Christ’s coming. In Revelation 3:7, Jesus Christ identifies Himself to the Church at Philadelphia as the One who is True, Holy, and has the unstoppable Messianic Key of David. When Jesus speaks, He tells the Truth. When we listen to Him and hear what He says, we can have confidence and assurance that He knows what He is talking about.
Jesus Christ taught repeatedly (Matthew 24, Mark 13, Luke 21) that His 2nd Coming is to Judge the ungodly. That was the content of every sermon on the future that He ever preached. Each sermon was taught in the context of Israel, was focused upon the Jews, and involved the city of Jerusalem and the nation of Israel.
The Rapture is Not The 2nd Coming.
However, when Jesus spoke to believers, His emphasis was different. Jesus taught His born-again children of the faith three bedrock truths about the Rapture or His coming for His Church.
These truths are that the Rapture will be a source of comfort, similar to the Ascension, and an intentional rescue.

I fell away from The Lord for many years. I remember how I felt like an orphan after my parents died; we had a shattered family due to much abuse, and issues that I had never healed from. I had no other family I could talk to. I cried often about it. After He called me back to Himself, The Lord showed me through His Word, and experiences that He is my Heavenly Father. He loves me in a way that no one can, because it is perfect; He is perfect! His love can fill the hole in any heart. I no longer feel like an orphan. The Lord God is my Abba. He also gave me a family! I cannot wait to meet all my brothers and sisters in Christ, and am so excited to see Jesus, when we are caught up in the clouds to meet Him in the air!!!

I happened to tune in today and give a listen also. I always have believed in the Catching Up/Rapture. I find it nice that this guy does also. The Pre-Catching Up is REAL. Glory be to the most High God* in Christ Jesus* Holy name. AMEN

Once a person comes to understand the New Covenant promised to Israel and Judah in Jeremiah 31:31-34, which is found fulfilled by Christ during the first century in Hebrews 8:6-13, and Hebrews 10:16-18, and specifically applied to the Church in 2 Corinthians 3:6-8, and Hebrews 12:22-24, modern Dispensational Theology falls apart, and the pretrib removal of the Church falls with it. Who is really teaching “Replacement Theology” ? (Did God fulfill His promises to the Jewish people at Calvary? Matthew 26:28, John 19:30) The advocates of modern Dispensational Theology often accuse others of promoting “Replacement Theology”, or some may even say “Antisemitism”. What does the Bible say about their accusations? 1. Who is replacing Christ as the seed of Abraham through which all the families of the Earth would be blessed in Genesis 12:3, with Abraham’s modern descendants? 2. Who is replacing the one people of God in John 10:16, with two peoples of God ? 3. Who is replacing the one seed (Christ) in Galatians 3:16, with the many seeds? 4. Who is replacing the children of the promise in Romans 9:8, with the children of the flesh? 5. Who is replacing the faithful “remnant” of Israelites in Romans 11:1-5, with the Baal worshipers? 6. Who is replacing the word "so" in Romans 11:26, with the word "then"? 7. Who is attempting to replace the Church made up of all races of people, with one made up only of Gentiles? Why did Peter address the crowd as “all the house of Israel” in Acts 2:36, when about 3,000 Israelites accepted Christ on the Day of Pentecost? 8. Based on Hebrews 9:15, the New Covenant cannot be separated from the Messiah’s death. Is the covenant in Daniel 9:27 connected to the Messiah’s death in Daniel 9:26. Is the covenant with the “many” in Daniel 9:27 the same covenant with the “many” in Matthew 26:28? If it is, some have replaced the New Covenant in Daniel 9:27 with a future covenant made by an antichrist not found in Daniel chapter 9. (See the 1599 Geneva Bible used by the Pilgrims.) 9. Those promoting the Two Peoples of God doctrine of Dispensational Theology often accuse others of teaching “Replacement Theology”, but are they the masters of it? Are they promoting a form of Dual Covenant Theology based on race? (See “genealogies” in Titus 3:9) 10. Watch the KZfaq video “Genesis of Dispensational Theology” to see the origin of this man-made doctrine, which is less than 200 years old. It was brought to the United States about the time of the Civil War by John Nelson Darby. The doctrine was later incorporated into the notes of the Scofield Reference Bible, and then spread through much of the modern Church. Dallas Theological Seminary in Dallas Texas was created in part to promote John Darby’s Two Peoples of God doctrine of Dispensational Theology. Lewis Sperry Chafer, the first president of Dallas Theological, had the following to say about the difference between Israel and the Church: “The dispensationalist believes that throughout the ages God is pursuing two distinct purposes: one related to the earth with earthly people and earthly objectives involved which is Judaism; while the other is related to heaven with heavenly people and heavenly objectives involved, which is Christianity.” Lewis Sperry Chafer, Dispensationalism (Dallas, Seminary Press, 1936), p. 107. Chafer states that, ‘Israel is an eternal nation, heir to an eternal land, with an eternal kingdom, on which David rules from an eternal throne,’ that is, on earth and distinct from the church who will be in heaven.” Lewis Sperry Chafer. Systematic Theology. 1975. Vol. IV. pp. 315-323. John Walvoord, another prominent voice of Dallas Theological stated… "...it is an article of normative dispensational belief that the boundaries of the land promised to Abraham and his descendants from the Nile to the Euphrates will be literally instituted and that Jesus Christ will return to a literal and theocratic Jewish kingdom centred on a rebuilt temple in Jerusalem. In such a scheme the Church on earth is relegated to the status of a parenthesis.” John F. Walvoord, The Rapture Question.1979, p. 25 ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Are there two peoples of God in John 10:16? (See also 1 John 2:22-23, 2 John 1:7-11.) What is the land promise to the Old Testament Saints in Hebrews 11:15-16? Based on 2 Peter 3:10-13, is this earth “eternal”? Will it be replaced by a new earth? Based on Acts 2:36, and Romans 9:6-8, and Romans 11:1-5, and Hebrews 12:22-24, and James 1:1-3, can faithful Israel and the Church be separated into two different groups? Who is the New Covenant promised to in Jeremiah 31:31-34, and Hebrews 8:6-13? Will modern Orthodox Jews ever be saved outside of the New Covenant Church?

This commandment have I received of my Father.14: I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine. 15: As the Father knoweth me, even so know I the Father: and I lay down my life for the sheep. 16: And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd.

My last prayer of the evening, after I've confessed my sins, and made intercessory prayer for my loved ones, then praying for sick friends and Government officials I say a new, quite prayer to the Glory of the Son, and that prayer is, "Lord Jesus, bring me to the rapture. The blessed hope is the RESURRECTION and ETERNAL LIFE. It isn't escaping tribulation. The early saints who were burned at the stake and killed in other brutal ways were not comforted by the idea that the rapture could come at any time and rescue them. The comfort was the RESURRECTION and ETERNAL LIFE living with JESUS forever. Stephen was stoned to DEATH. His hope was what he SAW in heaven: God the father and Jesus who he would go live with FOREVER because of the blessed hope of ETERNAL LIFE.

@@tervinuunona8738 The tribulation is Satan's wrath, not God's wrath. God's wrath begins AFTER the tribulation (see Revelation 16) with the seven bowl judgments. Satan's wrath begins with the persecution of Jews and Christians (see Revelation 12:12-17) "But woe to the earth and the sea, for the devil has come down to you with great wrath, because he knows that his time is short! 13 So when the dragon saw that he had been thrown down to the earth, he pursued[d] the woman who had given birth to the male child. 14 But the woman was given the two wings of the great eagle, so that she could fly from the serpent into the wilderness, to her place where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time. 15 Then from his mouth the serpent poured water like a river after the woman, to sweep her away with the flood. 16 But the earth came to the help of the woman; it opened its mouth and swallowed the river that the dragon had poured from his mouth. 17 Then the dragon was angry with the woman, and went off to make war on the rest of her children, those who keep the commandments of God and hold the testimony of Jesus." Those who keep the testimony of Jesus are CHRISTIANS. Satan goes after the CHRISTIANS. Jesus said he is going to return IMMEDIATELY AFTER THE TRIBULATION (Matthew 24:29) and that's when the BOWLS of GOD's WRATH are poured out.

Great teaching and preaching on the rapture. I learned.a lot so thanks! God rescued me from a prison cell with 7 years left of my sentence for drug trafficking. It took the Holy Spirit to help the scales fall from my eyes. I had been living in anger of a violent childhood where I was living in a falsehood. After deep repentance, God started urging me to start writing. It has been over 17 years since, and over 77 books published later, God is urging me even more. God bless you for shining God's Light (Jesus Christ) on a dark world by showing this testimony and others that speak of His Redeeming Power to go from darkness to His Light

Please listen to Tim Conway,s teaching on the rapture and the once saved always saved doctrine. He will literally put the fear of God into you the way no other preacher has and turn everything you have been led to believe on its head and as for the rapture and any other doctrines out there, do not believe anything that has no biblical scripture to back it up and that should always be your standard.

Narrow Way To Life, you trust the Gregorian Catholic calender? The moon is for times and seasons, the sun is for days and years. It's a luni solar calender that should be trusted. Worlds last chance page goes over this well, new moon Sabbath, and every seventh day until the next new moon, and don't forget the holy days, and the feasts. Stay blessed and never quit seeking truth. For that's the worshipers the father seeks, those who worship in spirit and in truth.

Exodus 20:8-11 (KJV) 8 Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. 9 Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work: 10 But the seventh day is the sabbath of the Lord thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates: 11 For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the Lord blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it. Narrow Way To Life, does the begging or the end of the year matter as far as the Sabbath is concerned? No, the months are started with the new moon. Do you know who was seriously obsessed with getting the calender correct to keep the feasts and the Sabbath's? Hint his book was removed from cannon 500 years ago, he is the only man to have been recorded not to die(as far as the bible is concerned), and if you bring him up in an average church your usually called a heretic... Do you know who I'm speaking of?

God inspired teaching! Im sure Holy Spirit lead me here. I was questioning the catching away and am learning it is true. There are pastors that I still love, that haven't been shown this and because of that, I was not sure. They dont preach against the Rapture, however they dont preach it either.

Jesus is the One sacrifice for ALL of our sins, past present and future and He sees your repentant heart and LOVES you more than you can imagine and know. Trust in Him! Pray to the Holy Spirit to be your comforter and counselor to help you forgive yourself.

That is so well put -- when I started to believe the rapture and study it, my whole Christian life fell into place and became what I had longed for for 30 years. But I had to find it on my own - no church I ever attended mentioned it. Neither mainline churches nor the so-called born again churches. Thank you.

You're right, Ron, very few churches mention it. I had an opportunity to speak at a church we used to attend and talked about the glorious hope that we are to comfort one another with. Not to toot my own horn but the people looked at me like I had three heads! It didn't take long and they were lapping it up, realizing that I was sharing what is plainly written in the Word. When I finished, they clapped. That never happened at least in our experience there. However, the next day, I was called to meet with the elders and very sternly chastised. I knew I couldn't win the argument so I simply apologized. Needless to say, I was never asked to speak there again. To your point, in all the churches we have been in, I think I have heard one sermon on the Rapture. Sad. But, at least we can hear good teaching here. Blessings!

Early in my conversion I read through Revelation and I was astounded and asked why haven't the church preached this book more. Jesus is not kidding...these things are coming upon the earth any time.

Who is really teaching “Replacement Theology” ? (Did God fulfill His promises to the Jewish people at Calvary? Matthew 26:28, John 19:30) The advocates of modern Dispensational Theology often accuse others of promoting “Replacement Theology”, or some may even say “Antisemitism”. What does the Bible say about their accusations? 1. Who is replacing Christ as the seed of Abraham through which all the families of the Earth would be blessed in Genesis 12:3, with Abraham’s modern descendants? 2. Who is replacing the one people of God in John 10:16, with two peoples of God ? 3. Who is replacing the one seed (Christ) in Galatians 3:16, with the many seeds? 4. Who is replacing the children of the promise in Romans 9:8, with the children of the flesh? 5. Who is replacing the faithful “remnant” of Israelites in Romans 11:1-5, with the Baal worshipers? 6. Who is replacing the word "so" in Romans 11:26, with the word "then"? 7. Who is attempting to replace the Church made up of all races of people, with one made up only of Gentiles? Why did Peter address the crowd as “all the house of Israel” in Acts 2:36, when about 3,000 Israelites accepted Christ on the Day of Pentecost? 8. Based on Hebrews 9:15, the New Covenant cannot be separated from the Messiah’s death. Is the covenant in Daniel 9:27 connected to the Messiah’s death in Daniel 9:26. Is the covenant with the “many” in Daniel 9:27 the same covenant with the “many” in Matthew 26:28? If it is, some have replaced the New Covenant in Daniel 9:27 with a future covenant made by an antichrist not found in Daniel chapter 9. (See the 1599 Geneva Bible used by the Pilgrims.) 9. Those promoting the Two Peoples of God doctrine of Dispensational Theology often accuse others of teaching “Replacement Theology”, but are they the masters of it? Are they promoting a form of Dual Covenant Theology based on race? (See “genealogies” in Titus 3:9) 10. Watch the KZfaq video “Genesis of Dispensational Theology” to see the origin of this man-made doctrine, which is less than 200 years old. It was brought to the United States about the time of the Civil War by John Nelson Darby. The doctrine was later incorporated into the notes of the Scofield Reference Bible, and then spread through much of the modern Church. Dallas Theological Seminary in Dallas Texas was created in part to promote John Darby’s Two Peoples of God doctrine of Dispensational Theology. John Walvoord, another prominent voice of Dallas Theological stated… "...it is an article of normative dispensational belief that the boundaries of the land promised to Abraham and his descendants from the Nile to the Euphrates will be literally instituted and that Jesus Christ will return to a literal and theocratic Jewish kingdom centred on a rebuilt temple in Jerusalem. In such a scheme the Church on earth is relegated to the status of a parenthesis.” John F. Walvoord, The Rapture Question.1979, p. 25 ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Are there two peoples of God in John 10:16? (See also 1 John 2:22-23, 2 John 1:7-11.) What is the land promise to the Old Testament Saints in Hebrews 11:15-16? Based on 2 Peter 3:10-13, is this earth “eternal”? Based on Acts 2:36, and Romans 9:6-8, and Romans 11:1-5, and Hebrews 12:22-24, and James 1:1-3, can faithful Israel and the Church be separated into two different groups? Jesus is speaking directly about His disciples in John 17:15 which can be clearly understood reading verses 6 to 19. His focus in the prayer changes in verse 20 "Neither pray I for these alone but for them also who shall believe on me through their word". That's us, those who have come to believe on Him through the words of the Apostles (the new testament). So His disciples were not taken out of the world but were to establish the foundations of the church with the words given to them by Jesus. We on the other hand will be taken out "like the days of Lot".

@@cliffdunning9296 Ah, the days of Lot, who were lead out and kept within the earth in safe keeping from the wrath they were saved from yet witnessed leaving the daughters fearing they were alone on the earth to thus seduce their father. We're not to suffer the wrath but we are to get cleaned up and to have a greater faith than the daughters, that humanity does live on for our service in ministering to the lost and confused, restoring all that is good in remembrance of those that went before us. The rapture takes place on planet earth in fulfillment of Christ's own words.

Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God- 13 children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God. I have this inward circumcision as a sign to me from God. A person is not a Jew who is one only outwardly, nor is circumcision merely outward and physical. 29No, a person is a Jew who is one inwardly; and circumcision is circumcision of the heart, by the Spirit, not by the written code. Bellydump1974 : I would recommend you spend time directly studying what the Bible actually has to say because only then will you come to realize there is a huge difference between what the Bible says and the distorted false ideas taught by many churches which is repeated here and contrary to your statement, this "man" is not full of scriptural knowledge but sadly instead very extreme ignorance which is important to point out because the Bible has much that is even far more amazing to say than most REALIZE which is sadly missed entirely because too many are distracted by the false doctrines they want to hear all along not realizing what this also causes them to miss much far more important and more amazing than most people realize. Consider your own inability to recognize this fact not aware the man in this video is not worthy of praise but its opposite reveals much of yourself as well openly betraying how much you yourself really need to learn also and in this be not afraid but trust in God and you will be quite surprised where that road takes you unexpected.

So thank you.i must respectfully disabuse in any case insomuch as I thank God for His blessings and praise Him for the same. The man speaks with no mean degree of discernment I think but much more with faith proved from obvious long and hard study. Also the incredible good will and willingness to love his neighbors indeed inspire me, PRAISE THE MOST HIGH GOD!!!!. I can't say I understand the Word beyond what Gods Grace permits so I don't feel compelled to backbite another in his particular manner of service. Clifton you may not have any choice about "staying if you want to". For the last two thousand years you could say Christians have been waiting for the lords rescue. However he could not have come anytime during that period because God has a time line that involves us Christians, Israel and the gentile nations. For example there is a time frame when the anti Christ is going to be revealed and it won't be before that. The bible makes it plain we will be here on earth and see who it is. I used to believe as you do only because most other Christians believed it. When I finally did and intensive study on the subject I found out that Jesus himself said when is coming would be in Matthew 24; 29-31. What is it about "After the tribulation" that many Christians just don't understand. Jesus could have said "Before the tribulation" or "In the middle of the tribulation" but he didn't, he said immediately after the tribulation. How I never ever saw that over the last 50 years I'll never know. You are right Clifton, regardless of what Christians believe it is not a salvation issue so no need for division.

The tribulation and his wrath arent the same thing. This entire video proves that Jesus is coming back, and we will be caught up. Before his wrath not the tribulation Matthew 24:29- 3129Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:30And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. 31And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

Thank you for really understanding the whole council of God's word. Not sound bits weaved together to create a story that is not found, when all other scripture is considered. Consider John 6:39-40,44 & 54; four times Jesus says - I will raise them up "at the last day". If you compare the Greek text you will learn the words 'the last day' are all in singular form, not plural. The Resurrection and Rapture happen together at Christ 2nd coming, period!!! If you don't like that truth, God says he will send strong delusion to those who do not have a "Love for the Truth" in 2Thes 2:10-12, that they might believe a lie. What does verse 3 in 2Thes. 2:1-4 tell us??? Two things must happen first before we will be "Gathered unto the Lord". You have to make Paul and Christ out to be liars to keep the belief of the "Imminent return of Christ". Said with Love, for those who want the Truth.

Yes, it's in REV 6:10-11 When the last one is killed in his name sake is when you don't want to be here. Fear not dieing is living. REV 2:10 fear not and receive the crown of life. I don't worry about rapture happens. Just be ready. When he comes back, he comes back.

Do not take away the judgment seat from Christ. If you say someone is in heaven or hell you are taking the judgment seat from Christ. Rom 14:10 But why dost thou judge thy brother? or why dost thou set at nought thy brother? for we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ. 2 Cor 5:10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad. 1 Cor 4:5 Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord come, who both will bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and will make manifest the counsels of the hearts: and then shall every man have praise of God. "before the time, until the Lord come" Acts 17:31 Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead. The prove is in His Word. All you need to do is read what it says. We are not judged twice, we are not judge as so as we died and judged again on Judgment Day. All are a sleep waiting. Where did Jesus say He put His feet on the ground in Matthew 24? It's the same description that Paul gave in 1 Thessalonians 4: 15-17. It was a mystery to the gentiles he was bringing into the "church". The "church" already knew about it. Jesus told us ahead of time. (Matt. 24: 25)

I was taught about the rapture as a kid in Sunday school. Later in my life when Jesus saved me was I able to understand and love this teaching. Now today you have others teaching against this doctrine. They teach that the church will meet the anti christ & face persecution.

If Daniel wasn’t raptured from the lions’ den, if Christ’s disciples weren’t raptured from their horrid demises (excluding John), and if modern-day Christians in the Eastern world aren’t being raptured from their fervent persecution and martyrdom, what makes us any different? Why is it such an issue to get out of our comfort zone and GENUINELY prove our love for Christ, something He did 2000 years ago?

When first revealing the doctrine of the pretrib rapture Paul refers to it as a mystery meaning something that has always been in God’s mind but never before revealed to man. If we contribute Jesus’ words in John, as done in this video, to the pretrib rapture of the Body; then we are making a liar of Paul and the Word of God. We are also covering and stopping any further Biblical discernment of what Jesus was really speaking about in John. The words of Jesus are true. The words of Paul are true. The Word of God is true. In John Jesus is addressing Jews concerning a rapture of Tribulation Saints from the earth to be guest at the wedding of Matt 22 before the Second Coming. If folks would simply believe every word of the true Bible, more revelation would be added to them.

I assume you wrote this out because 'the elect' are still there in the tribulation but this is speaking of those who will come to faith during the tribulation, having seen the miracle of the rapture.

If you understand the context of Matthew 24, he was speaking to the jewish people, as the tribulation is centered around the Jewish people to return their true Messiah, Christ. It is also known as the time of Jacob's trouble in Jeremiah 30. Jacob is the Jews. Daniel speaks of this concerning 70 weeks of tribulation for the Jews, how 69 have been complete and the last week is yet to come. This last "7 days"/one week is the 7 year tribulation before the return of Christ. In the book of Revelation we are even given insight on people who will make it through the tribulation and come out of it in Revelation 7. They are identified as 144,000 Jewish people who will come to believe in Christ during that time. God bless.

According to this verse, the rapture cannot happen until the Antichrist comes into the temple claiming to be God. The rapture comes after the Antichrist demands all to take his mark and to worship him. 75 days after he comes into the temple claiming to be God will be the rapture, at the sixth seal, moments prior to God's wrath. 1,260 days { 3.5 yrs} plus 75 days is 1,335 days. Daniel 12:12, speaks of the rapture, the catching away, "Blessed is he that waiteth, and cometh to the thousand three hundred and five and thirty days."

Would you define the rapture as our gathering back together with Jesus? Yes, they see Him at his Second Coming...not at the Rapture. Why else is it easy to dismiss the disappearance of millions of Believers? In their vain imaginings they will believe any reason as to why people are gone - even the most preposterous excuses! But when He comes to defeat evil at his Second Coming, the whole earth sees Him and fears Him and fears what is about to happen to them!

@@narrowwaytolife4525 They are not the same event. The second coming is when He steps down on the Mount of Olives and it splits in two. He then sets up His kingdom on earth. The second coming is not a thief in the night as the beast of revelation gathers the nations to make war with Him. Revelation 19:19: And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against him that sat on the horse, and against his army. The rapture is His coming as a thief in the night. He comes secretly at an hour we know not. Matthew 24:42: Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come. Mark 13:33: Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is. I'm of the opinion that those who are able should be prepared to go through the tribulation so that those that must go through, can benefit from the preparation of those that do not go through. There's a 50/50 chance that the doctrine of the pre-trib rapture is wrong. Those are not odds one should bank on but rather: one should obey the Lord's commandment to be as wise as serpents, and as harmless as doves. Matthew 10:16: Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves. It is wise to prepare for all things, and there is no harm in doing so.

Narrow Way To Life - No, the rapture and the second coming are not the same thing. Rapture can happen anytime, but second coming is during tribulation. Also, tribulation may begin right after rapture, or after some time. Time between the two events is unknown. Most believe it is almost immediate because there will be nothing to hold evil back from exploding into action.

Thank you as before for sharing and teaching Dr Barnett. My question is about the "Rapture" that Jesus talked about. Our brothers and sisters have been tortured and murdered since the days that Jesus left and believers grew. Starting with Saul, who became Paul and himself executed. For two thousand years have we been persecuted by the World. Granted all die and are judged by either God (the unsaved) to Hell. Or to the Judgement seat of Christ whom will be allowed into Heaven. This I know and believe w/ my whole heart. But why would a rescue be for only one generation when so many prior to had to suffer?

My point exactly. It’s because the rapture is a false doctrine, and the Western world believes that we should be raptured for the bare minimum and not face persecution like countless people did, like Stephen, for example. Was he raptured in his time of martyrdom? Nope. Therefore, we should prepare ourselves WHILE WE STILL HAVE TIME.
