In this video we show you how to setup dual displays on a M1, M2, and M3 MacBook Air (or other Macs) with a tutorial on the setup process. We show you one of the easiest and least expensive options for using dual external displays on Macs from Wavlink. Displaylink will let you use 2 monitors, but there are limitations. MacOS sees Displaylink software as a screen capture program. Some programs, such as Apple TV, will not display using it.

Yes, there are some limitations as it's not great for gaming but being a Mac channel I figured most won't game on the extra screens. Thanks for sharing info.

Interesting video. I'm looking for a way to use my iPad as a second monitor for my MacBook, but they each have different Apple IDs. I don’t think there's a solution out there for this yet.

Yeah sidecar works if you have the same IDs but I haven't looked into it with separate IDs. This hub doesn't work on an iPad so it would not be a good option for that.

The M1 Air only can do 1 external display by itself but with this hub it can do 2 external displays (using Display link software). I hope that helps. So 2 external screens plus the laptop can be a third screen with the hub.

Maybe the MacBook Pro 14" Base model. It can be the M2 or M3 versions (Pro chip) with 16 or 18 GB Ram and you should be fine.

Ive been trying to figure out why it wasn't working. I hooked up 2 monitors and it would just mirror them. I guess i needed a different adapter

Yes, you need this if you have something like an MacBook Air M1 or M2.

Yes, you can move them around (left, right, top, bottom) etc.

The M2 Pro Mac Mini is capable of connecting to dual external monitors via thunderbolt 3/4 or type-C DP alt mode display adapter , which relies on the native output of the Mac Mini. In this regard, the three screens, including the home screen, are already the maximum limit of the M2 Pro Mac Mini. But with a DiplayLink USB graphics technology solution such as the Wavlink UG69DH2 display adapter mentioned in the video, you can connect up to six external monitors via daisy chain. Because DisplayLink captures video signals through the DisplayLink driver software to decompress and transmit them as USB traffic, it does not provide the macbook's native GPU output

I have a dual monitor on macmini m2. One monitor uses the HDMI plug, the other one of the 2 usbc. Is there a similar product that can free my usb-c dedicated to the second monitor?

If you are a content creator or your main purpose is to do graphics-intensive work, this 69DH2 based on DisplayLink USB graphics technology solution is not the best choice, while a type-C DP alt mode or thunderbolt based display adapter is the correct option. However, the limitation of this solution is that the M2 macbook can only connect to an external monitor, and that is because macOS only supports single-stream transport. For basic office tasks such as documents or web applications or for more screens, this adapter can free the potential of your type-C port

Running into a really frustrating issue where I am able to extend my mac display to two screens, but as soon as i full screen any of the tabs or apps i have open, all of the other screens turn black. Does anyone else experience this? I have to AOC monitors, im not sure if that is why. But on my old Macbook Air 2018, i did not have this issue at all, but on this Macbook Air M2, yup

Yes, they normally have more external displays then the base M chips.

The 6902H dual HDMI display adapter is based on Displaylink DL-6950 chipset , which manages the graphics function. When connecting to macbook, it supports extending 2 monitors in extended mode.

On the M3 it changed but on M1 and M2 it can only do one display. They are the fasted computers out there and firm to the ARM chips but that was only one minus on the entire system.

Wow, did you even watch the video - obviously not. I had an entire tutorial on setting it up. Works by doing that and then you have 2 monitors. You didn't watch the video but that's fine.

@@craigneidel One small feedback - the last bit you could show dragging windows between screens would be great. I thought the video ended too soon before showing the windows 'in action'. I know you show the existence of two different monitors with a screen, but just saying that this last bit could have been the final stamp. Any ways I don't think you did a 100% commercial, OP is rude here.
