The man sounds as good live as he does on an album. Different breath control, but the voice. Absolutely sounds just as smooth and rich.

@@itscooks1195 I've seen performances where it wasn't an issue though. It could have just been the night. Musicians have bad days also. I imagine this song is second nature to him by now. I can't imagine how many times he's sung it.

Darius is finally found his voice its COUNTRY! Ad Hootie and the Blowfish it was great but Coyntry is where he should be. I love his country voice! He is great!

i grew up in California. Didn't know a thing about this song. Then I went to college at the University of North Carolina and every frat party I wasn't cool enough to get into would blare this song as I walked by on Friday or during the last week of classes. Didn't think about it. Then I went to a party at a bar with my friends and they all loved this song. I asked this cute girl to dance to it and I finally got it. Nothing ever happened with the girl. But the song stuck with me. Just around this time, Darius's version came out and I played it on repeat. Now, anytime I am at any thing in the Carolinas, block parties, weddings, karaoke, I see folks gather in a circle and sing this song. And it brings me back to my college days, dancing with that girl, watching games with my friends. It's in my bloodstream now. It's part of my musical DNA. God bless Arthurt Big Boy Crudup, Bob Dylan, Old Crow Medicine Show and Darius Rucker.

Song was written by bob dylan and ketch secor. Old crow medicine show made the original. Ruckers cover is great too

You are right. I play guitar. I play FAR more complicated tunes. Diminished chords, IV, VI, II progressions across multiple scales and modes. This one sounds basically the best...and it's 4 simple chords in one key. Sometimes simple is good.

This song to me is, for some reason, like no other. I wouldn’t call it my favorite song but it is the only song I could listen to every day. Every time it comes on, I have to turn it up and sing to it.

I was always opposed to country music as a whole but Mister Darius really turned me on to it. His voice is just beautiful, like a gift from God himself and it makes me feel so good after a long ass day at work.

I actually went to this concert with my pops, we always used to listen to Wagon Wheel on the way home from scouting camp outs. Mom always got confused when we’d say to put on the “coming home song”. But it’s one of my favorite memories of him

I used to and still listen to this song when I drive out from Ohio to Pennsylvania to see my girlfriend. Don’t know why it always stuck as the song I played every time I went out there but it’s stuck ever since. I love Darius, and I love this song. Lots of memories associated with it. It’s found its place in my heart for sure.

Many years ago, when he was with Hootie and the Blowfish, we would go see him and the band before they were big. I'll never forget when we left Charleston, SC and we went to see them for the last time. They gave us a casette of what was to be their first released album of Cracked Rear View.

I remember being like 8 years old and waking up in my Uncles bed next to my little cousin real early in the morning. My uncle was getting ready in the bathroom, and my little cousin and I just laid there in the early morning listening to this song over the radio. Time sure does fly.
