For a 'dust free' environment, try your bathroom after you've taken a shower. I'm not kidding. The residual steam eliminates dust particles from the air. Make sure you've got a clean flat work surface, and have everything ready before you shower. -- You don't want to run through the house naked and wet. ...or maybe you do. No judgement here. :o) I've successfully applied screen savers to all my family's phones and tablets in this way. Works like a charm. Seriously. Try it.

I love it. A "dust free environment." Even in the cleanest of rooms, yes, including the bathroom after you've taken a hot shower/bath, there's always dust in the air and these things attract it like magnets, as does the phone screen! Seconds after you've checked to "make sure," you can be "sure," that more dust will have settled, even if it's only that one pesky bit, which ends up, of course, in the middle of your screen after application! :O) I'd say take the protector out of the box long before you start cleaning the screen and ensuring it's "dust free," otherwise, you're allowing even more time for dust to settle back on the screen. Unless it's an edge to edge protector, particularly on the iPhone 6, you need *very* steady hands in order to get a good alignment with the Home Button. If at any time you can see a bubble then you can lift the protector up and allow even *more* dust to settle on the screen! :O) If it's dust, then lift the protector with a piece of tape and go through the nightmare of having to continually fight a battle of removing one dust particle, while another one settles somewhere else and you don't see it till the whole thing is on! :O) "And there you have it!" Aww, we didn't get to see the final moments, just the edited version of how you got to the end? ;O) Seeing as there's a massive industry/racket involved in producing and selling these things, I think it'd be a great idea, if professional "installers," sprung up everywhere, so that people like me who've had endlessly frustrating moments trying to apply these things can just go to and have it fitted, with some sort of guarantee that it'll be fitted without bubbles and dust trapped beneath them.. Why isn't this available everywhere. Mmmmmmmmm let me *cook* on that. Could it be that the people who flog these things know full well, that your average punter is going to fail time and again and have to keep coming back and paying for more Screen Protectors, many of which will assure "bubble free," application! :O)

There are dust free environments just not in your house. I good on is at the bottom of the water tower tank. Another is just outside the International Space Station. Each person sheds. hair all four kinds, head, body, pubic and cavity hair, cavity hair comes from your ears, and nose. Then you also have skin cells eyelashes, etc. The best result I ever obtained was clean he device screen with microfiber cloth. Coat the screen with water mixed with dish soap. Open the film protector. (10 inch tablet) set in front of a air filtration system. the soap makes the film less sticky and the bubbles are easier to push to the edge. A small polished steel roller works better than a credit card. Why? Because it is stiffer and the bubble cannot bend the edge of the card. No bubbles from airborne dust. Just stuff that fell off my body.

An easier way to do it is to not peel the backing off all at once, just peel off the end, align it on your phone and slowly peel it off as you apply the protector, using a card to smooth it out. No bubbles, no problem. But the absolute best way to go is tempered glass. I'll never go back to plastic screen protectors if I don't have to.

What I find works best to apply them is to align the top sensors and the home button on any device at the same time then let it drop down from the middle to the outside and you then have a screen protector lined up perfectly. For bubbles you are on your own.

Great little video. I have always had problems with applying screen protectors but that little bit about using sticky tape is shear genius!
@Mark2ube10 жыл бұрын
I'll give her credit for doing something like this on camera, but Don't use this video to learn how to install a screen protector.... 1 minute went by between cleaning the screen and placing the protector on the phone. That's 1 minute dust is falling on your screen. She also opened up the package, by ripping cardboard no less, right over her cleaned (now not clean), phone. Then she 'aligns' the protector by using the home button, which is a CIRCLE. You can get the spacing around the button correct, but you can't align anything using a circle, you need straight lines to do that. The protector can be spaced correctly around the button, but be off by ½, 1, 10, even 180 degrees, and still look 'right' around the button. There is no such thing as a "sweet spot" around the home button. Don't start squeezing out bubbles until you know when you lay the whole thing down that its exactly where you want it. As you can see at the end, it was not a good job. In short, use tape to clean the screen, after doing all the other obvious cleaning. Use the hinge method to align and place the protector (google it), and don't mess around after you've cleaned your screen, dust is everywhere. If you can, do it in the bathroom after a hot shower where dust is less likely to be floating around. Clean, peel, install... using hinge method.
@NancyWang60241883610 жыл бұрын
The hinge method is awesome! thanks! but will it work on the iPhone 6 plus coz of the curved screen?
@Mark2ube10 жыл бұрын
MizGorgeous13 I don't know what type of protector you have in mind, but Yes, it should. It may be a bit more tricky, so just be careful. But, once you have the tape on the protector, and phone, so it's acting like a little door, as long as the protector only moves like a hinge, and does not move side to side, or up and down, then you should be fine. Basically you are trying to limit the movement to just swinging like a door. If it's a glass protector, or has some small area around the edge where it can't lay flat due to the curved screen, then what you may find is that the tape will also need to stick to the 1-2mm area of the screen that is not covered by the protector (the curved part). To put it another way, the tape should be stuck to something no matter where it is. Either stuck to the protector, or screen, or side, or back of phone. If the tape is allowed to have gaps, it can flex and and move, and the protector will move round too when you try to put it on. Keep things tight, clean, and you should be fine.

perfect. I can also advice to clean hands before because they can have a kind of naatural fat that can make some problems after. If you have an animal, go in another room where it walks nt often (even bathroom is better) because the hair of some cats are irresistable flying everywhere. And last piece of advice, do not use a credit card as she said, you can easily damage a layer. Put a special material around credit card for instance, that will allow you to avoid any problems. And do NOT hurry! close the door and switch off any of your phones! good luck with that!

When the bubbles become small it's really hard to get them out, but if you don't try to get them out immediately through the corners it will be close to impossible later on. I use my bare thumbs to force the bubbles to the corners (and debit card) which works most of the time, but the cloth won't get the bubbles out. The cloth is too slippery to move the bubbles.

@rogerlee62899 жыл бұрын
This is the slowest method ever. I've seen beginners go faster then this with flawless results. if you want it to apply quickly and not waste time like this video do this. 1. clean screen with alcohol 2. take a small piece of tape and dab it all over the screen picking up any lint that is left behind 3. apply screen protector by aligning vertically on the middle (speaker and home button) 4. press out any air bubbles and celebrate. total time exactly one min. Oh forgot to mention, when pulling the top layer of the screen protector once it's applied don't pull slow like she did otherwise you'd definitely risk getting dust under it. Instead just pull it quickly.
