Guys this is such a good method. I bought a 2 pack screen protector package from amazon and I tried putting the first one and COMPLETELY messed it up. So I went on KZfaq looking for a tutorial and I watched some of them but they didn’t look convincing and then I come across this one and tried it out and I have to say it is perfect. I will say that after trying this I found that it was easier using a thicker tape than the skinny scotch tape. But other than that I 100% recommend this method

This process works perfectly. Having messed up previous protector installs, I found this method and tried it. Let me say it works and is easy to do. Just be sure to remove all dust before making the last step. Thank you so much for posting, excellent.

one thing tho- i recommend wrapping your finger and the credit card with the microfiber towel when squeezing out air bubbles, so it doesn't make the screen protector dirty or scratched :P Also, when removing the adhesive and sticking the screen protector, set the phone so it's standing up inside of laying face-up on the table, so that way the direction the screen is facing is perpendicular to gravity-- so dust falling in the air doesn't land on the screen :P

Worked like a charm. I “closed” the hinge first and pulled the tape off of the screen protector from underneath to limit chances of dust clinging during the closing motion. Couldn’t have gotten such a seamless install without this video. Thanks.

That's not how it works, of course. In real life, methods are improved upon. By specifying that this video was made in 2017, the author is trying to convey that whatever used to be done before 2017 has been taken into account, that this is an updated method with a higher success rate and therefore previous methods (non-2017) are outdated. I'm not saying any of this is true, but it's what the author is trying to say. Installing an adhesive glass protector is neither a hack nor can be digitally patched like you normies seem to believe.

Just did this with a tempered glass version! Very nice. My previous method was very fiddly. This method ensures that you don't wobble and mess up.

You're my hero! I don't know if it's related but I only ever owned Androids before and I NEVER broke a screen protector. I get an iPhone finally and the protector cracks immediately. I've been dealing with the broken screen protector for a while with the intention of just getting a whole new phone since I'm due for an upgrade anyway. But the protector was getting so cracked on the right side that it was starting to cut my fingers. I gave in and got a 3pk of protectors from Amazon. Since I've never placed one myself before I was nervous to screw it up. I tried your method and it went on beautifully! So much so that I didn't even need to use a credit card to smooth out any bubbles because I literally didn't have a single one! After a few seconds it just kinda formed a vacuum and sucked it down more onto the screen itself. The tape kept it in place which was super helpful. Thanks for sharing your tips

Nice way of doing this. I have psoriasis so I had more than dust or bubble to worry about. I've used a old Razr for years. Finally wore out the charge port and had to upgrade to a Samsung Galaxy J2. I got the J2 because I know that exact model gets a signal where I live where others, including my old Razr, didn't. This was my first time putting on a screen protector. After watching several videos, I went with this one plus a trick from another video, having the shower on to reduce dust. My very first screen protector went on perfectly, no dust, no bubbles, perfect placement and no skin flakes either. Thanks so much for posting the trick with the tape.

Thank you, sir. The scotch tape worked perfectly. I watched several videos, but only you suggested scotch tape, and I knew it would help. There was little wiggle room on the fit.
