Medium contrast setting in advanced help stop picture washing out , also advanced resolution set to low as will make picture rough

I have the Sony Bravia 4K X1 HDR 43 inch TV and the PS5 too and it supports VRR and also 120hz too bro when my other 4k tv didn't support those features and I'm happy with the TV that I have now

So. Basically you're using global settings. 4k/HDR settings optimized for PS5, but then running those same settings across all your media on that TV yeah? What about game mode? Do you keep that ON when watching tv/streaming shows? I Have a Samsung so slightly different but all the same 🤷‍♂️ and I've noticed Game mode gives a brighter shaper image everywhere BUT colors look slightly washed out when watching 4k movies - but crisp and perfect when playing PS5. My "ideal" settings seem to be global for everything but game mode on/off depending on if I'm gaming or not. I, also, use a high end Pioneer Elite AVR as my hub so everything goes through her then into the TV under ONE HDMI connection. That does make specific media settings difficult for me but overall ease of use is better, having everything go through the AVR is simple (especially given the avr autoswitches inputs based on what I've turned on - example: turn PS5 on and avr turns on, turns TV on and automatically inputs to PS5. Then if I turn my firestick on avr automatically switches to that input etc.) Sorry for the rambling lol. It's been a monthS long battle trying to optimize my screen since the wife bought me a ps5 🤣 it's amazing how NOT 4kHDR xbox one x was by comparison, especially from a settings standpoint

True picture will be amazing on that TV ,my parents got the Sony equivalent and look great compared to my 4k uhd ,I nearly got one until I looked up the ms for online games there ms was 184 ,my lg 18 there's TV that have the best of both but hits you hard in the pocket ,ms display lag needs to be looked at if you play online

Getting a Good TV I still game on an 60" LCD TV From 2012 and it evem has some sort of game booster and it works great even to this day its not 4k but its still good (1080p) i do have a monitor but the TV with my Xbox feels more natural

I was same for mad long. I had a Panasonic 1080p Plasma and still, nothing comes close. Sure, 4k is crisp and HDR is pretty, but NOTHING shows black like a plasma and I sure do miss those heavy space heaters! 🤣🤣🤦‍♂️

I have a tcl serise 6 and this total helped so much misinformation. Last of us 2 on my ps 5 looks amazing. Dark hdr woth brighter totally helped

Actually for ps5 hdr calibration you want to make the sun as Visible as possible on all three steps for best hdr

How about the LG Nanocell 85 series with 120hrts try to figure wether I should use hdr for gaming because it's nits are 550

Spider man is messed up when I turn off the hdr in the PS5 settings and the picture with no HDR the whites are way to bright and overblown I don’t understand what’s happening? I have a LG B9 OLED TV

Got to turn it off on the ps 5 too otherwise your TV is still in hdr mode

In Standard it’ll show 2.0. If it’s in compatibility it’ll turn off the HDR.

So do it....it's a lot less hard than people make it seem. Sure, you can't walk into Walmart on a whim and pick one up but its really not that hard.....a tiny bit of research, some new Twitter followings and a little work is all it takes 🤷‍♂️ my wife shopped for ONE WEEK and landed one. People have gotten too comfortable with how lazy American life is. If you're not willing to put some work in for something fantastic, you don't deserve to complain either🤷‍♂️ just my two cents. Not attacking you either, I realize it came off that way but not intended lol. Good luck! Eventually you'll be happy I know it lol!

Why? TLC uses LG panels, Samsung image processors and is literally only cheap because you've never heard of them 🤦‍♂️ But, sure: Sony has a new 10k 55" you should probably buy RIGHT NOW because: brand recognition means quality 🤣🤣🤷‍♂️

No, bcuz of the fact that it's only running 2.0 when the PS5 pushes 2.1 that means no 120 refresh. You're not getting the full graphics capability out of the PS5 with that particular TV in this video. Not that all TCLs are bad.

2.1 is a software thing. Not a hardware thing. Xbox one x is 2.1 "compatible" and look how old it is. This is PROBABLY either a 60hz display (which won't ever be able to utilize 2.1 anyway so why bother) OR Simply hasn't been updated for support yet 🤷‍♂️ Knocking a 4k piece of tech for not having a software patch for 8k tech is kind of redundant no? Kinda like a turbo on a weedwacker 🤣 vroom vroom!

@@Lord_Pistachio_Nut this is not true the TV must also have 2.1 compatible hdmi ports.It’s hardware not software so if it’s not a 2.1 hdmi port your not ever getting the advantages of Hdmi 2.1 ie 120fps Native 4K. You can’t get it through any software updates lol most TVs from 2021/22 have at least one 2.1 hdmi port but still some don’t it’s something to think about if your buying a TV anytime soon.

And the Xbox One x was the first console that was hdmi 2.1 compatible this was for future proofing & for people with monitors with hdmi 2.1 ports..Hdmi 2.1 didn’t really start getting used until 2019/20 PC monitors were the quickest to adopt Hdmi 2.1 tech in 2019 mabaye even a little earlier.But for TVs it’s be a lot slower.

@@darrenyoung5436 ok. Keep telling yourself that lol. 2.1 is over 8 year old "tech" and, yes, it's 100% software. Any mid level and up chip in the past TEN years is capable of processing the info needed for 2.1 spec. It's literally a gimmick to fool you into thinking you don't have the best of the best. Hdmi 1.4 is the cutoff for HARDWARE limitations. Display port (20 year old tech) is capable of 120hz 4k content. If people weren't so easily fooled into buying something new every year TV manufacturers/the industry as a whole would be more likely to update "older" sets to current throughput specs. But so many people buy into shiny labels and tech jargon that's purposefully confusing so they convince people like you that a port that's physically unchanged for generations isn't capable of something. What's more - HDMI cables that aren't 2.1 certified simply have restrictors built in to force you into "new tech" copper is copper and digital is digital. Period. This argument is no different than the "which gauge speaker wire should I use" only speaker wire is complete snake oil where HDMI is software handicapped.
