Honestly love a podcast that briefly mistakes the 737 for the 747 and calls Boeing and McDonnell Douglas 'airlines'.

I was acquainted with a flight attendant from a major airlines in the late 90s. She told me there was a culture of intimidation among the crew. If a pilot came on board smelling of alcohol they dared not report it. That airlines has been in the news recently with safety problems. Makes you wonder what slips through the cracks. That being said, I’m sure the majority of pilots across the board are true professionals and take their job and the safety of passengers very seriously.

Your theme music makes me think of some of the TNT hosting shows from the 90s.

Regulators should pass a bill requiring airlines to offer a warm blanket and shirts for kids when flying in a B 737 max just in case !!!

Not just applauded it’s REQUIRED knowledge from each 737 Pilot from memory and has been since the 1960’s. Every 737 Pilot knows it.

The cost of writing manuals in different languages is unreal. Terms and translations make it difficult in different languages.

I heard writing instructions on how to do anything even in your own language is pretty difficult.

It's worth the cost. Figure out how to get it done and be cost competitive. And get it all on PAPER, please. We need an accurate record...

Not quite correct, the runway stabilizer checklist is a MEMORY ITEM, it must be done from MEMORY.

It is ALL on a checklist. The Aviation industry is respected world-wide for their scrupulous adherence to checklists. They're almost Buddhist about it.
@craigpitts2209

Yes and this one is called a “memory item” it must be done from memory first then later the check list is read to confirm all steps were done correctly.

Memorization is to be applauded but a list of words on paper is more reliable.
