saw liam gallagher here yesterday and it’s easily the best venue i’ve ever been to, crowd was amazing, toilets were clean, food was great, the sound was amazing and the temperature was good too. was 1000% worth the delays

co-op was built on a promise - a promise of charging a minimum of 5k PA for a private members clubs in its giant music venues

It depends on what you call useful - venues like this support thousands of jobs. They help hospitality both with restaurants and people staying in hotels, it creates jobs in the venue, and local shops benefit when people poor into the city for shows….so I’d say it’s pretty useful.

Co-op didn’t build it, they are just the sponsors - the £350m plus build cost is all private money.
