IMe and some of the crew at the coey where I work were called in for a mission briefing (it was just a video by somebody who's probably had no real shopfloor experience in their life). but when I DARED to say something along the lines of th cstomers not wantting a membership card and tewlling the till staff that IF and WHEN i WANT A MEMBERSHIP CARD, i'LL apply for one, I wasn't allowed to finish becuase what I had to say didn't conform to the cooperative way of doing things and involved thinking for myself and DARING to question things.

saw liam gallagher here yesterday and it’s easily the best venue i’ve ever been to, crowd was amazing, toilets were clean, food was great, the sound was amazing and the temperature was good too. was 1000% worth the delays

Now it's not even 50%. For a retailer that prides itself on its corporate social responsibility, this is utterly disgusting.

It depends on what you call useful - venues like this support thousands of jobs. They help hospitality both with restaurants and people staying in hotels, it creates jobs in the venue, and local shops benefit when people poor into the city for shows….so I’d say it’s pretty useful.

The previous sourdough selection of bread at co-op used to be solid, the recently introduced selection of sourdough baquettes and loafs just tastes cheap and of low quality. The brown colour it has seems fake and unnatural, and isn't reflected on the taste. I've stopped shopping for bread and co-op since the changes were introduced last year

This has nothing to do with this ad but I want to say this. The Co-op like many retailers recently have stopped using Best Before dates to save on food waste. That's a very good idea and I totally support that well meaning intention. Unfortunately it doesn't work out quite so well in the real world. I go to my local Co-op and see baskets full of veg so past their best it's bizarre. Baskets full of bright yellow, stale old broccoli that no-one in their right mind is going to buy are still on sale because there are no Best Before dates any more.

Our local co-op is five minutes walk away from us. We do our main shop online from...somewhere else. We use the co-op as a top up place, ya know? The new way the co-op card is bollocks. Now we save a few pennies on one or two products occasionally. The old way was much better. You saved up your card points and then you could have a mini-shop and you could pay it off via your card and it was like getting it for free.

I am boycotting the COOP on the grounds that they deny biological science, support an organisation that promotes young people to deny themselves and pretend that they were born in the wrong bodies, and therefore encourage youngsters to suppress puberty via medication so that they can later seek operations to cut body parts off and to mould fake body parts, the COOP doesn't care that these kids will end up sterile if they transition. By supporting the LGBTQIA2S organisation, they are engaged in child abuse as well as the removal of women's safe spaces for men who want to be declared to be a woman. The COOP where I live proudly pushes the LGBTQIA2S flag in customers faces every time they enter the store. If you don't support child abuse and believe science trumps personal feelings and want to protect women and girls, including preserving their safe spaces, you should seriously consider BOYCOTTING all COOP shops.

From 24th January instead of earning rewards on the purchase of Co-op branded food purchases, members will now benefit from; A significantly increased number of member prices and deals in all our businesses. Our member owners will benefit from price reductions on branded as well as own brand foods for the first time. As well as having the choice of two personalised offers every week. Our analysis shows that member pricing is financially much more rewarding (90% increase on rewards) than the rewards available via the previous mechanism. We aren’t a loyalty scheme, our members also benefit from being an owner of our Co-op with: More opportunities to participate in our community activity and the opportunity to choose a local cause to receive funding. Opportunities to have a say in how our Co-op is run.
