Hey coach, how about some uptempo, fast transition plays to throw off the defensive game plans against Caitlin? Fever offense seems quite lethargic by playing post, no help offense against double teams, and people are not used to Caitlin just standing. She is a playmaker, and you didn't hire her just to pass the ball around. She needs movement, and her teammates are quite slow. Just saying. We hope to see some adjustments and a win the next game.

. 5 seconds is not enough time to allow the screen to be set, make a backdoor cut pass, setup the pick and roll... her teammates cant cut that fast

WHAT! They need to work on coming back to help? Thats one of the most fundamental aspects of basketball that falls into the realm of common sense and even grade school kids know that when someone is doubled! This is ALLEGEDLY the pros, they shouldnt need to be told or need to practice coming towards the ball to help! Jesus!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

She should be criticized for turning the ball over 10 times. For shooting 5-15 FG, 4-11 3-pt, 0 rebounds, and 10 turnovers. It's evident she's the leading scorer when she's shooting (33%) more than her teammates.

This coach has no business coaching, PERIOD! The players are just standing around while CC is doubled and surrounded, and when CC is looking to pass these players arent even paying attention! Sides AND the refs are jealous of CC just like 100% of the league, and that includes her own teammates! Theyre phony as hell acting like they wanna be friends with CC, but they jealous AF! CC earned everything shes received, PERIOD! This coach is sitting on her ass when she should be challenging calls or telling the refs how f'ed up their calls are, ESPECIALLY THOSE TWO QUICK FOULS ON CC, THOSE WERE ABSOLUTELY PATHETICALLY RIDICULOUSLY NOT FOULS!

It's not Christie Sides, it's the box-in-one defense on Caitlin Clark. She's being shadowed all game. Carrington was all over her as was Raven Johnson in the National Championship game. Clark has a target on her back and the defense will be relentless against her. Her struggles will continue as the season progresses. She's now playing against grown women, not 18-year-olds. Again, she got exposed in the National Championship game against South Carolina.

Her regular players from last year are not moving around without the ball And posting up underneath the basket for easy layouts Star player from South Carolina is being lazy and cannot move very fast for the iowa Hawkeye player to get her the ball down into the Post

She was benched because she was turning the ball over. She couldn't handle the pressure. She got 12 pt's for 3's, 2 pts from a layup, and 6 pts from the free throw line. If you were to take away 2 pt from the 10 turnovers, she actually was scoreless. When you shoot the ball 15 times (more than her teammates), you should expect for her to be the leading scorer.

I really feel for her, but she is over-matched. Caitlin has played well considering, but I'm afraid that Sides cannot draw up plays and let the team execute. Unfortunately, I still feel she should be fired immediately before the team learns any more bad habits and standing around.

Why would you want to get the ball MORE to Boston, when she shot so poorly? Clear out the floor, let CC go one on one, and when they double team her, she'll hit the open person. Just like Iowa did. You haven't given CC the chance. You dont need to teach CC. You need to teach your other players!!!

Don't worry, 2 weeks of practice and 2 warm up games is not enough time to know how to revamp your entire offense to utilize the best woman players talent in the world! But now she knows how they are going to defend against the Fever! Things are about to change for the better!😱🍀💚

IMO this fever team will be hard pressed to even match last year;s 13-27 record. Clarke is a rookie, going to make mistakes and teams are going to pressure her constantly. Boston is overrated and they really have no one else that is consistent. Would not be surprised if there is a coaching change midway thru the season. To much self inflicted wounds. One part of her game CC has to realize is those dime half court passes she threw in college will not be as consistent in the W. Players are bigger, faster. experienced and longer than college players.

CC was getting mauled by two players, and what are the other 4 players suppose to do when that happens? Stop with this crap trying to protect Caitlin Clark and trying to put blame on her teammates. It was Clark who turned the ball over 10 times and shot 5-15 from the field and 4-11 from 3 pt. Clark was shut down by Carrington. Clark only had 7 pts before Carrington left the game with leg cramps. She held Clark scoreless for the 1st 1 1/2 quarters. Tonight, the GOAT was put out to pasture.
