I haven't seen anyone discuss how Doja's hair look was a reference to how she has talked about being perceived as a woman after shaving her head. She has discussed a lot about how people say she is "ugly" with a shaved head. In the show there is a moment where she changes out of the hairy look and shows herself shaving it off.

Idk but I LOVE Paris's look & vibe. It felt VERY reminiscent of her looks 15-20 years ago, but also Coachella, but also modern, but also not tacky. Like A+. She's the QUEEN of lowrise jeans & accentuating hip bones lol, so this look made TOTAL sense to me.

as a coachella valley local and coachella festival veteran most of these looks DO make me laugh because I think about how miserable they are practically but they are MUCH better than they were about 3-4 years ago which was the peak of how insidiously stupid they had gotten and my friends and I basically just trixie screamed in sheer distilled schadenfreude for two weeks straight every year. 😂😂😂

In Taylor's defense I don't think she was going for a "fashion" look the way that some influencers or other people who are going to Coachella are tbh. It looks like she just pulled together all the things that she thought would be comfortable and casual and be done with it. (Not a defense for Taylor's fashion in general. When she's properly styled and meant to truly turn out a look on the red carpet I do think it's a missed a lot of the times)

I think it looks really cute though, I do agree about the bag but the shoes seem fine to me, better than walking around with all white shoes that will clearly get dirtied with all the desert dust. It looks very on brand with her usual styling and looks comfy plus Taylor is clearly here to enjoy the music and doesn't have to impress people with her fashion choices

i personally love seeing uncommon styling choices because it's refreshing. would i wear asap rocky's thousand boxers pants? no but it's fun to look at. and doja's hair all over look is just weird in an artsy, you'll-never-see-it-anywhere-else kinda way. anyone can wear conventionally pretty outfits anywhere but personally i love seeing fashion that makes me scratch my head and think how did they come up with this

@@shush9687 i agree! i think because we've reached an era where fashion is all about art and aesthetic, moreso than other eras because of the internet and because there are no big boundaries left to break in terms of what is socially acceptable (for example men wearing skirts, dresses, gowns, women can wear pants, miniskirts, lingerie as outerwear) i feel like more people are using fashion as an art expression intentionally nowadays 🥰

I read an interview with her where she said she wears the same pair of boots in every performance, because they are broken in and she can dance in them, which is why her boots are aleays a big part of the outfit. In the interview, she had just spray painted them red for her super bowl performance, and here it looks like she disguised them with all that crochet. I love it lol

Coachella Fashion what is there not to say?! This "roast" was on point. I do hope that you have a "Weekend 2" and include ATEEZ's performance style. The fisrt Korean Kpop group to perform at Coachella is full of fashion on and off the stage. Fashion Designer Olivier Rousteing Named ATEEZ’s Hongjoong "An Inspiration To His Work" and personally invited him to last springs Balmain presentation in Paris. As you were wondering about the Stella McCartney waistcoat.... In Southern Bavaira there is a traditional carpenter dress ("Kluft") that carpenters will wear for certain occasions or during a particular phase of their training ("Auf der Walz"). As Austrian I was immediately reminded of this when seeing Brentman's outfit (pitchblack waistcoat and pants paired with loose fitted shirt) and I think this is what Stella McCartney might be referencing with the look.

The prada sport is called linea rossa and it’s still being produced. I don’t think it will be discontinued as it looks like they’re a pretty big name especially in the sailing community tho

Doja's wig outfits and her performers outfits were probably inspired by Nick Cave's sound suits. Also, there's a performer named Ionna Lee (Iamamiwhoami) that used similar blonde suits in her music videos years ago.
