Reminds me of how Ricardo Mayorga stopped Vernon Forrest. It's interesting, sometimes a fighter that's not fundamentally sound can give a good boxer problems.

Oh man i've been wanting to watch this fight for years!! Never seen it thanks ever so much for the upload. Vaca Was no mug he really was an awkward fighter and rugged. I was shocked at the time when I heard of this win from him. And it was a good win.

Breland's biggest mistake was putting too much oomph on his punches in the earlier rounds, by the fourth you could see he was just too tired and his punches lost steam, his balance was weary and he was out of breath going back to his corner.

Breland introduced as a former 2 time world champion, but Vaca not shown the same respect by Buffer.

Breland slowed down after the first few rounds and had trouble with Vaca's lunges. Emmanuel Steward taught most of his tall, thin fighters to clinch on the inside but Breland was never fond of clinching.

Mark Breland biggest problem was he has a long skinny neck. People like that do not take power head shots well.

Stupid to compare Breland to Tommy Hearns. Hearns would have blown Vaca up within 3 rounds. Vaca's style of wading in like that would have gotten him knocked out.

I've been looking for this fight for a while. Mark had excellent skills, but his will, that killer instinct, like Tommy Hearns, was not on par with his skills. I always thought Jorge Vaca was some bum fighter who got lucky because I had never seen this fight, but he was a real fighter!
