Just discovered your channel from across the pond in Canada! Love it, been binge watching you and so wish I could join you! Im not chef either but do enjoy to cook. Heres a tip, start with your butter, garlic and onion (if using one) with a small pinch of salt first for a few minutes, then add your wine and only a bit of water. Bring that up, then add your catch and then cover and simmer for 10 minutes or so (or until they all open up). If you have dried parsley you can add a dash of that too. Try it out and :) Keep it up mate!

I just started watching coastal foraging videos last week. And I’m obsessed. I’ve watched a ton of yours. Hello from Florida. Next time we’re in England I’d love to get together and do some foraging. But my cousin lives near London. Where is the best place to go? I’ve never done it before. I’m going to look up where I can do it here too. I live near where people go scallop hunting but that’s where you go out on a boat and dive down to get them. Bit different than what you do.

SMASH FISHING!! Will do. I’ll make sure to do my research. I’ve lived in Florida pretty much my whole life except Hawaii for 6 months. So I’m familiar with seafood. But yea foraging would be a new experience for me. I definitely need to be careful because we’ve had so much red tide in the past years.

Looks like fun. Search under "horse neck claims / Lawson's Landing to find vids of our Ca gapers also called horse necks. They will also provide links to quick and easy way to remove skin that protects siphon (edible neck). Blanch for seconds and quick bath in ice water. Peel off skin and siphon is all excellent meat. Most of the edible meat in the gaper is the siphon. Several ways to then cook the meat or chill and eat sashimi style. I'm betting you will stop using them for bait! Keep up the good work.
