Hermano muy ingeniosa tu idea de sustituir el codo pero recuerda que antes de pegar PVC debes lijar bien ambas partes, limpiar bien con limpiador según la marca que requiera el material que estás utilizando y limpiar con papel absorbente para eliminar residuos de grasa o polvo y quiero que recuerdes que los empalmes son uno por afuera y otro por adentro según la caída que pida la cañería pues con el tiempo si la corriente de aguas albañales o de aguas grasas está en contra de la misma puede haber filtración o fuga por estar en contra de la inclinación o sea por adentro. Saludos desde Cuba una persona que se preocupa por hacer las cosas bien.

Bien, pero se puede hacerlo menos complicado. Se cortaba el codo en diagonal, luego cortes en cada extremo del codo, se calienta y se sacan los sobrantes del codo y se empata el nuevo codo.

If you repair it with a heat gun, why use cut piece pipe, first you have to cut broken piece with out cutting the long pipes
