A great "how to!" Does Cobb currently offer an OTS map for your WRX's setup (Cobb SF intake, possibly aftermarket exhaust, etc.)? Couldn't immediately find one on their site, but I may just be looking in the wrong locations.

Currently COBB Tuning offers OTS maps that are tuned to support aftermarket parts within the COBB Tuning product family only. However, with the COBB Tuning AccessPort and an authorized ProTuner, the sky's the limit with appropriate supporting mods. Is there a specific bumper size to buy for a front mount intercooler on a 2014 sti hatchback

The stock bumper will fit after it is modified per the PDF and video instructions. If you are speaking about aftermarket, the fitment would be the same, unless specified by the aftermarket parts manufacturer. Hope this helps. Cheers, PMcG

David, You can get this directly through COBB Tuning at www.cobbtuning.com/ You can use the part selector to specify your Make, Model, and Year to see what is available for your vehicle. The FMIC is currently offered in silver or black and as just the intercooler core or as the entire FMIC assembly as shown in the install video. Hope this helps. :-) Cheers, -PMcG

I believe this vehicle came in with either a Molded Innovations or KBD aftermarket lip. There are a number of options out there depending if you want to go bare or painted. Just search the net and there will be a number of mods out there, that lip is no exception. Hope this helps. Cheers, PMcG

If I recall those are XXR 551's. Here is an example reseller, but I would shop around for the best price from a highly rated source that is trusted by the community. Did your kit have a plug for the iat? I need to find a plug for mine and I heard you say 3/8 npt and I feel like that is to small

3/8 was the dimension of the ntp plug that came with the kit when we installed it. If yours is missing or mismatched, I would contact COBB to get the correct plug for your specific application.

@@MrMcGuintysHowToGuides okay cause I don’t see a plug inside the kit for the bung. I ordered a anodized black 3/8 npt plug I’m not sure that will fit. I did contact cobb and still waiting on a response.

What overflow tank did you use?

Would this front mount work with an AEM cold air intake?

As long as the AEM cold air intake is of the same diameter as the FMIC tubing, it would mate up without a reducer/expander coupler. However, please not that the COBB AccessPort Maps provided are for COBB Hardware, so if you do mate up your AEM with the COBB FMIC, you will need to engage a ProTuner for a custom tune. @@MrMcGuintysHowToGuides Thanks, I installed it! If you upgrade the turbo or have sti still turbo you will need to purchase the fmic hot pipe, which is sold separately. Also the new coolant and windshield washer kit (very 👌 nice I might add) is a great addition and truly a one hour install. I required a second set of hands to keep the coupler on the throttle body while tightening clamp and on turbo exit. Great video and details.

This was not our vehicle and the owner utilized an OTS Map at the time of the installation. They did not pursue dyno tuning/readings after installation, or at least of which we were made aware. Without verified dyno runs, any number(s) provided, even from the COBB AccessPORT would be subjective.

The owner of the vehicle ran a number of modifications at the time of installation, including but not limited to turbo back after market exhaust, CAI, EBCS, BOV, etc. At the time of the FMIC installation, an OTS "Stage 2+" map was applied to allow them to drive home and schedule a ProTune with their desired tuning shop.
