Brown waxed flesh is my favorite leather. I wish I could get a safety toe in it despite it being considered not up to par for work leather. I just appreciate how it ages.

Interesting about the small cuts in waxed flesh leather. I have that on one of my uppers in a natural waxed flesh charley.

Kelsey, my shrunken bison boots are supposed to be delivered to me Monday; can't wait. BTW, why is it called "shrunken" bison?? Is the wrinkled character of the leather caused by actually shrinking it? My appreciation of "cookie cutting" just took a giant leap upward. Thanks, Nate, for educating us...who'd ah thunk it was that complicated! Now we know! Nate, you think you feel old now?...wait until you're in your 70s. 🙂

The squeak is the worst! When people in there silent $60 shoes from Amazon here you squeak into the room like a clown, they aren’t thinking “wow, those boots must be super high quality”. Trying to normalize the squeak is the lazy way out. It’s a problem that needs to be solved ASAP
