In this video we will be talking about the deference between both the Saphir Beaute du Cuir and Saphir Medaille d'Or Wax Polishes known as Pate de Luxe.
Both are amazing products and stand out from other shoe polishes but both also have deferent applications and results.

I found your videos two weeks ago and are very informative, specially fill with experience. I never tried Saphir until 4 days ago because of your videos and I can see and feel the really difference between everything else. I will buy Saphir and nothing more .. rrally is the best. I had many Nicks and White' Boots as well some exotic cowboys boots and can't being messing around with at least $500 boots per pair.

Omg yessss thank you!!! White hue on my oxblood docs in the creases en didn't know why. How do i get it off and which color do you recommend for oxblood/cherry color, mahogany or burgundy?

i have some brown leather shoes with partial paisley pattern on the leather. Can i still use light brown polish/wax on top or will that colour in and fade the paisley pattern? Do i need to use neutral?

Well done video! QQ do shoes need to be stripped down completely annually with renomat or acetone and re moisturized at the bare calf leather? I have developed a great oxblood pair with a very nice complex patina but have never stripped them down completely, and they’re 5 years old.

If you have built up a beautiful color using wax and want to avoid stripping it off your best option may be to use the Saphir colored creams. They have solvents that will soften up the old wax on the shoes so that you can work that Shea butter into the leather from the creams to condition it. This may be a great video I might try to do for next week.

Allen Edmonds special leather treatment for their boots, like the weatherproof Higgies, does not take all leather polish products, what do you recommend?

OK thank you I was confused, I’m just getting into it and I always heard Kirby saying it with the black tin when I thought the patè de Lux only came in the blue/yellow tin . Thanks for Clarifying that

Also, a wax will provide a barrier for light water or abrasions. So wax will provide a bit more protection for the shoe.

Good point, I always include a thin coat of wax but I clean and care for my shoes almost every other time worn

*HEY!* I just bought a kit on eBay, it came with a light & dark brush and 2 PANTHER Black & Brown polishes. Is that a good brand? Because in my research I couldn’t find it lol I know Lincoln,Saphir , and kiwi are all popular. I’m just wondering if it’s like a vintage kit, looks like that’s the case. I just hope it works

We still call it spit shine...especially if you still use spit (not recommended in commercial use). 😂 In my experience any wax or polish, not just neutral, will give you that white residue if it's applied in the flex points of the vamp. Looking forward to your review of Pure Polished products.

Yea it’s that transparent part of the wax that it still shows through just a little. But more so with the neutral always. Yes I have been hoping to get my hands on that stuff to test it out but haven’t gotten around to it yet.

No body mentions saphire uses almond oil. If you have a nut allergy becareful.

In the 50 plus years of shoe shining I have found that lincoln gives me a much better mirror shine then saphir. I'm not knocking saphir it's a wonderful product but I do think that lincoln is a better wax

@@wsmoran Let me share a tip. For over 25 years I have taken 1can of saphir and melted with 1can of Lincoln. It gives all my customers a mirror shine second to none. You should try it you will be amazed

Автор, вместо тысячи пустых слов мог бы взять несколько пар обуви и начистить их разными гуталинами. Сразу было бы видно в чем их отличие. Состав продукта умеют читать все, а не только вы. Пол часа бесполезной воды. Позорище.
