This episode was great! Love the interaction between Chozen & Johnny! I teared up a little when Robby was telling Daniel that he helped him find balance! This series is just incredible! Now this, puts a smile on my face 😌

So in an interview with the composers on The Soundtrack Show podcast (highly recommend), they said that the reasons they cannot always use Conti's original themes is because they do not own the copyright, so they have to pay a lot to use it. When they do, they almost always use the original recordings for the extra hit of nostalgia. They also said that they really wanted the show, especially Daniel, to have their own personal themes that were reminiscent, but not direct copies of the og music. Could be they couldn't get ahold of the Miyagi theme.

The fact that they put two UFC legends in Tyron Woodley and Stephen Thompson in this season is crazy

Crazy to see both villains of the karate kid coming together and get revenge on Terry Silver and "The fist" and it's funny how they were going back and forth about all the stuff they did to Daniel and then talking about all of the things that he did were just straight up amazing, crazy how they came a long way

This was my favorite episode of the entire series. It could've even served as a season finale and saved all the stuff in Episodes 7-10 until Season 6. It was a perfect conclusion. But the rest of the episodes are also great.

I teared up too. Very nostalgic. The bow at the end to Daniel felt like it was to Miyagi and Daniel carries his teachings very well to new generations. The intro I think was a tribute to John Woo's movies, set in an airport, with slow motion and a touch of Tarantino with the music and the eye patch.

This was one of the best episodes of the entire show run; and that scene where Kreese is seeing everyone in his life, including a young Johnny Lawrence, is probably the best in the whole show! 😲

If y'all think about it, Kim Sun-Yung isn't any different from Sato Toguchi - he too trained US soldiers to fight, so if you think about it, while both styles could not be more different, their origins are exactly the same....

I hate to say this but no one really wants Julie to be in the show, she was the weakest and that movie was c grade at best. Nothing on the original trilogy
