At the end, not only did Robby show his true talent, but he also showed good sportsmanship. Too bad the video cut before showing how dirty Miguel was. Of course, Johnny shaped him up and he knows there's no dignity in a merciless fight. Robby is a natural Cobra because of his dad, but trained Miyagi-do. Actually it’s proven that Miguel is better. Miguel won in a one on one fight against Robby, had him pinned on the floor, could have done anything he wanted to him. Instead, he showed mercy. You know what Robby did? He took three cheap shots and kicked Miguel off of the railing, puting him in critical condition in the hospital, with a 50% chance of living. Balance, focus. Breathing is the root of life. Be one with yourself.
@LATVERIAN16 жыл бұрын
In this brilliant/ thought out series; heroes become villains/ villains become heroes. It continues to work against typical film stereo types. For instance; earlier on I find myself rooting for underdog; Miguel Rios. When he takes down all those thugs, in the cafeteria, I had to restrain myself from giving him a standing ovation. And yet, as the series progresses here, to the final tournament of Miguel vs. Robbie, my personal loyalties take a sudden shift. Where as Miguel was originally the underdog, here, he is now clearly the antagonist, with Robby being the victim. It's all so similar between the characters of Daniel & Johnny. Being a fan of the original movie, never in a thousand years would I believe I'd actually be rooting for old school, bully; Johnny Lawrence. And yet, as I watch him clearly on the skids, trying so hard to get some balance in in his sad life, you just can't help feeling sorry for the guy. Especially having Daniel's "bonsai" car commercials unmercifully heaped upon him. Anyway, I personally give this show a 5 out of 5 rating. Brilliant, though-provoking, funny, suspenseful, and, most of all, "INCREDIBLY ENTERTAINING"!

I agree completely, original poster! No one expected the series to be THIS good! It totally subverts loyalties very cleverly! I most like the fact that Daniel and Johnny haven't been sidelined as characters. They are just as important, maybe moreso, as the new kids. That scores HUGE for me!

@aneutralguy56063 жыл бұрын
At 3:05 did no one see that Robby offered a hand to Miguel, I honestly wanted Robby to win that time because of the no mercy nonsense impact on Miguel. Remember Miguel even said to Sam he would give Robby no mercy. Miguel was being jealous of Robby when he saw him with Sam, when he didn’t have to be. Miguel jealously was the cause of Sam and Miguel break up.The no mercy nonsense was the reason people can become bullies. In the beginning of the season Miguel was really good but in the end I thought to myself that Miguel is kind of becoming the bad guy because of the no mercy nonsense. But luckily through this win it taught Johnny of how bad no mercy is. Since Johnny is Miguel teacher, Johnny was teaching Miguel the difference between no mercy and no honor. So Miguel became good again by redeeming himself in season 2.The no mercy nonsense was the whole reason they are some good people becoming bad people. Now in season 3 Miguel became the best character. But for Robby he did not much. Robby was good when Daniel helped him. When Robby kicked Miguel and started running away he started to be bad, because he did not use some of Daniel lessons. Now Robby joined Cobra Kai 😭. Robby joining Cobra Kai is really sad, because Robby deserves more. I know he kicked Miguel, but I think he should have apologized to him and went back to Daniel dojo. I hope Robby can redeem himself in season 4 or 5 if there is one, and Miguel and Robby become good friends or in fact brothers since Johnny and Carmen could have a relationship.

liam holloway or maybe because Robbie is an unstable kid with a horrible background of drugs and stealing. So when he got his ass handled and when Miguel said Sam likes him not Robby he got pissed.
@rumblefish93 жыл бұрын
@@definedparadox Miguel instigated it. He kept pushing Robby to the edge until Robby snapped and let his anger consume him. He was right not to believe Miguel trying to help him because Miguel never showed him mercy the first time. Miguel also started the fight. Robby was trying to break up the fight between Sam and Tory when Miguel attacked. When Miguel appologized, Robby perceived is a fake attempt to lull him intio a false sense of security where Miguel could attack him like he did in the tournament when Miguel went for Robby's shoulder repeatedly despite Robby clearly in pain. All Robby ever knew in his life was anger and violence. While Daniel was a calming force in his life, Robby wasn't there yet mentally. Miguel also lost his way too. He lost the caring person he once was before he joined Cobra Kai. He lost his honor and morals. In a lot of ways Miguel IS Daniel if he had gone the other path and not found Mr. Miyagi.

I'm late, but Daniel used the crane kick in the Johnny's face. Robbie just kicked the chest (and sent flying Miguel with that so, yeah, it's powerful)
@JGato-ii6ky3 жыл бұрын
The crane kick in real life is the strongest kick in karate. Especially if you land it in the chin. Just think of an uppercut but with your leg wich is 10 times stronger. You can see it being used in ufc but without all the gimmicks of adding the wings. Not saying that standing in the crane stance isn't effective its just a disguise to hide the kick thats coming yo your face but you can't hide it anymore because everyone and they momma knows this move now. So if you strip it down what is the crane kick? Its a front kick to the face. Simple yet extremely effective and used in every single martial art that includes striking.

Probably he taught him after the events of karate kid 3 because it's confirmed that Daniel continued his training even after the karate kid 3.

wait, so it took danny boy three decades but robby was able to master it in a few weeks?

I think Daniel stopped doing it a long time ago and he tried doing it on this scene. And also as Daniel said Robby was more natural than him.

robby was a natural skateboarder so he knew how to balance his body very well. A few weeks of practice was enough for him

I think Caporeia has a kick like that doesn't really fit with karate though.

In a tournament it may not matter, as long as it's within the rules.
