So many stars this season, but Chozen was the star of the season IMO. And if there IS a season 6, need more Mike Barnes.

Don't underestimate Kim Da-Eun. Lots of characters like Tory, Silver and Stingray took time to develop and find out their backstory. I am sure the writers have a lot more in store for her character, although right now she might be a caricature.

Kim Da-Eun is a 50 50 partner with Terry. With Terry gone she has the reigns. And with her childhood idol or crush, Krese, free. I think Cobra Kai has some fight left.

If there’s one thing that’s guaranteed, it’s that every Cobra Kai season finale is a BANGER 🔥

A couple of fun things I noticed on my rewatching of this season, at the water park, two Miyagi-do students vocally complained about wanting to go over to the Cobra Kai side of the park: Devon and Mitch. And in the scene when the Cobra Kai senseis are teaching the students about working as leader/follower, the sensei who trained the boys took his ring off of his pinky finger. This same sensei later gets his pinky finger cut off. This show is so really well written and little things like that just reaffirms it.

I read somewhere that the painting Mike took is a Rembrandt painting that was stolen several years ago and has never been found in real life so I guess Terry even in the Cobra universe can't report it stolen.

Well actually, Jay, they've shown several times this season that Terry has a security cam on his desk. Even last season, they showed him with a security cam--or specifially, a security monitor--watching Johnny break into Terry's office when Robby's mom told Johnny that Terry gave Robby car keys and a suit for homecoming. The show is good about setting things up for a payoff.

Terry saw the KIDS saying they were going to take down Cobra Kai ("Evil dies tonight!") so he called in his senseis. Catching Mike, Johnny and Chozen was a serendipitous bonus.

Mike Barnes actor had a shoulder injury which is why he had limited screentime. Also even from the little we’ve seen from him, I think he would probably whoop Terry Silver’s ass. They took him out cuz he’s too op.

“BRO…They’ve saved it for THAT long.” And that pretty much describes the brilliance of these show runners/writers. In a world of franchises and “creatives” that don’t, They just GET it. 😊

Yes, I agree. They've written her like a cartoon, only with less dimensions. I call her Anime villain because I think that's what she's supposed to be. Maybe we'll get more depth on her. She seems to have a soft spot for Kreese. P.S. Kreese: I still think he meant what he said re: Johnny. I think he escaped because he wants to square things. I don't know. He's definitely a tough character to read.

i love how this season, it is like the writers just knew exactly what the best fight matchups fans would want to see and just gave it to us. I wonder what Kreese's original plan was he had before Daniel and Johnny visited him in jail then screwed him over. He had Tory stay undercover in Cobra Kai all that time, but then once he got screwed over by Daniel, told Tory just to leave and essentially forget their original plan? He told Tory Silver was going down, but did his plan actually involve playing Daniel and Johnny like a puppeteer? I will say, though, I do find it hard to believe Kyler would be so quick to turn his back on Silver, unless maybe he was following Kenny's lead. But, I can see them turning their back on Silver if they had seen the video of Silver beating up Stingray, but not over that conversation with Tory over cheating, at least not without first giving Silver a chance to explain himself. I could see them giving Silver the benefit of the doubt and then Silver spinning the conversation his way, especially after they turned their back on Robby when he came into the dojo and tried talking to the students, but the students chose to "listen" to Silver instead. Actually, if they had all seen BOTH videos, then I could possibly see how Silver could not spin things his way and then everyone could see a pattern of behavior from Silver, but just not from that 1 video of Tory talking to Silver. I love it how the police finally show up, LOL! If the cops had showed up at anytime before that final fight, Silver would not have been the one being arrested. I can even see Silver being released on a technicality. I agree that I think Sensei Kim will take over Cobra Kai to carry on her father's legacy teachings and maybe even takes the students to Korea?? I want to see Jackie Chan (as Mr. Han) and Hillary Swank (as Julie) show up next season. Maybe Michael Ironside can appear as Colonel Dugan and/or Sensei Kim knows Master Li from the The Karate Kid remake.

This was a great episode but I completely agree it doesn’t do really any set up for the next season… I think whenever that trailer comes out it’s going to be crazy!

Next season will start with every one living happily together. Some one will stumble across an advertisement for the world wide karate tournament and see Cobra Kai led by Kim is in the tournament. They will go to the tournament to stop them from “taking over the world”. When they arrive they will discover Kreese left the country to join Kim at the tournament.

I think there's 3 possible options for next season option 1 (most probable) - crease somehow gets all charges dropped and takes back ownership of cobra kai option 2 - the cobra kai lady ( I dislike her character so much I forgot her name) takes control of cobra kai. if they do this they need to do a complete overhaul on her character for this to work for the fans option 3 (not likely, but interesting) - Barnes for some reason does a complete 180 and takes over cobra kai bonus option - cobra kai is officially defeated and is no longer a thing in the show, they purely focus on getting ready for the global tournament. I don't mind this option, I could see them releasing a season 6 announcement trailer were the cobra kai name washes away and is replaced with whatever Daniel, Johnny and chozen name the dojo. however its hard to see this working, because without the threat of cobra kai, there would be no internal threat in the valley, and no one wants to watch 9 episodes of training lol

So I think my theory is for Season 6, the Korean lady might take over Cobra Kai and still take that Dojo and Miyagi-Do Dojo fighting in the Saka Takai.

I have to say that this year has been a really great year for long running shows. Stranger Things nailed this last season in that even while the kids grow older the story intensity increases in relation to their “age”. So when they were young it was like a Goosebumps meets Goonies, now as the are nearly adults it’s more like a Nightmare on Elm Street style story. Cobra Kai has done much of the same thing, the story just keeps getting better. It shows that all the past protagonists were just dumb kids being manipulated into bad action, but then they ran head first into life, and they grew and learned and became better people. “No bad students, only bad teacher.” They went from being hated to being loved. Look at this team of once Karate Rivals, now becoming a team of Karate Brothers. As someone who grew up with the movies, this hits hard. I would love to see them deep fake a scene with Miyagi speaking to Daniel and Daniel finally finding peace and truly becoming the “best around”. So good.

The doctor lady would have noticed that her access card was gone at 5 o'clock and it would have been deactivated. And maybe a lockdown would have occurred to try to locate her old one as.

Next season Kreese and Master Kim are gonna show up to take Cobra Kai's spot in the international championship for the final showdown with Miyagi Fang. I just don't know who they're gonna field as contestants.

Honestly, if the show ends here, it would be a very good ending. But there is still at least a season left. And I still hope for Julie to show up.

So Thomas did an interview saying they cut a storyline out for Terry, that explained why he was so dead set to when. He didn’t out right say it but I think Terry is sick and he might be dying. That’s why the thought of his legacy continuing is so important to him.

As for next season, if the show was ever going to do a time jump, season 6 would be the time to do it. It's still 2019 in Cobra Kai land and the young actors have really noticeably aged at this point that they need to do something. I can see the first half being about the Sekai Takai and then maybe a time jump into the second half where the older kids are off at college and it's then about Anthony and Kenny and those kids.

I definitely have my security cameras connected to very phone and tablet I use to watch these reactions... 🤷🏾‍♂️
