Trust me you’ll like them. They get louder with age as well don’t ask me why. All my friends have V+H and Reinhart’s and admit the Nieghbor Haters sounds just as good especially after a couple thousand miles. I have 9k now they sound great. Luke Doxtator thanks for commenting I appreciate it. Ok so my pipes are stock and they still have the cat in place. I resisted the temptation of removing them because I fear I might lose some flow out of the exhaust ...I know what your thinking. How could you lose exhaust flow by removing something that restricts flow? Well the cats as you saw are like a honeycomb you can see right through the strata that keeps the exhaust flowing in tight formation through the collector. This in turn should scavenge as one exhaust pulse pulls through the other. If you remove the cat you can theoritically disrupt scavenging as the exhaust pulse might crash into each other rather than help pull each pulse through. Truth is I don’t know for sure if removing the cat helps or hurts performance. I haven’t done dyno testing myself or seen any dyno results of anyone else. It should sound louder for sure with cat removed is all I can say. I would recommend you go with a decent 2into1into2 pipes for best performance. True duals 2into2 for best sound. Personally I think Bassani sounds just as good or better than neighbor haters. The problem is they are more expensive. Perhaps true duals are your solution to a sound that is more appealing to you. Try to find someone that has them. My best friend has V+H true duals they look and perform great. It’s a dead heat when we race and his is an ultra limited 103 with tune vs my M8 107 stock with NH mufflers no tune. Hope this helps

Yes, it IS fast! But, I'll be riding her in "Standard" mode, which is the lowest setting. I bought her because it has all of the electronics (3 levels of TC, 3 levels of ABS, 3 power levels). They're all set on the lowest setting. I'm too old to be a hooligan! :-D

Yeah I know I also should get a tune. The only other cobra exhaust I used is on my wife’s Honda Shadow 750 cobra drag pipes with baffles sound more like a Harley than a Harley except at idle of course but when it’s on throttle it sounds perfect just the right volume too. Not obnoxious but strong exhaust note. Yeah as soon as I catch up on some bills I’ll get back to making some upgrades. Thanks for commenting I appreciate it

Thanks for watching and commenting. No I did not tune the bike. Runs great great zero issues. Any addition modifications I would recommend a Dyno tune which I did do on my other Harley. But not for a simple muffler change.

Thanks for watching and commenting. I’m not sure about removing the baffles on these mufflers. They are comparable in volume to Vance and Hines and rhinehart offerings. I ride with other Harley touring bikes with the more expensive mufflers and couldn’t be happier at my purchase of these “neighbor haters”. IMO sound wise equal to any of these brands. As far as looks is a different story but still not bad at all for the money. Hope this helps

I personally don’t think they sound louder than Vance and Hines. Also the V+H pipes have a slightly deeper tone. The only reason I would pick cobras is to save some money. Vance and Hines are an excellent product. Thanks very much for watching and commenting 👍

I am going to try and pull the packing out of the pipes and see how that sounds. Tried to remove the two locking screws but they are frozen on. Need to get some WD40 abut I will probably strip the screws.Nothing is easy I can see. Thanks for the reply

Paul La Fata well I know every time I try to pull or cut baffles it turns into a real chore. Never as easy as you think. My friend had stock mufflers with baffles cut out on his 2017 streetglide and it sounded pretty good. Good luck

L Smith No they don’t do that. My buddy has Full V+h exhaust with tuner and his do backfire but not that bad. And his are twice as loud as my Cobra Neighbor Hater Slip ons

I just bolted on the pipes and ran. I’ve had no running issues. Since I first posted this video till now these pipes have gotten louder and deeper sounding. To the point where a lot of my riding buddies have said it sounds even better than The more expensive pipes they have like V+H. If your on a budget and looking for great sound for less than half the price these are the pipes for you.

Didn’t Dyno test. It’s the fastest glide in my group all have M8’s and aftermarket exhausts.

Thanks for watching. No I didn’t tune it after the muffler change. No problems or issues whatsoever. It’s been 2 years and 8000 miles since. Runs greats and sounds even better than the day I installed even my buddies that ride side by side comment they sound even better after some time now has passed. Save your money for something else other than a tuner. The guys with the more expensive pipes and fuel packs not any faster than my stock tune stock air cleaner cobra pipe streetglide. I should do a video on that but I would get a lot of hate for sure so not worth it.

No tuning no issues feels more powerful it always seems faster than other touring bikes with aftermarket pipes with the same engines.

Yeah I got that for my wife. She originally had an 03 Miata which I also bought for her so I could get back the 05 Gto which she prefers over both Miatas but it only gets 12mpg in city traffic. And she has a long commute so Gto very impractical. Don’t get me wrong she loves the Miata but she enjoys the huge torque the Gto offers

Pull the baffles out and say goodby to your low end torque.

Scott Phenicie This is my opinion. Both my 2016 Vrod muscle and 2018 Streetglide Special have Aftermarket exhaust and have had warranty work done on by a Harley Davidson dealership with no questions asked. Technically Harley could void warranty work for non Harley parts or parts they deem caused a warranty issue that weren’t original equipment. Reality is Harley Davidson pays the dealership for warranty labor so the dealer isn’t anxious to complicate matters if you catch my meaning. Both my local Harley Dealers actually sell and install aftermarket mufflers on brand new Harleys and used as well as the upgrade Harley Screaming Eagle parts. If you change the mufflers only it’s no big deal. But When you get into changing headers and other mods which might significantly affect air/fuel mapping or tuning then the dealer might have a real problem which you can’t really blame them for if the engine is running very lean or rich. For me slip ons don’t affect air/fuel ratios enough to worry about. But full exhaust might and piss off your Harley Dealer that he didn’t get your work to cause a problem with warranty work so keep that in mind. My Vrod I had dealer install Vance and Hines slip ons air cleaner and screaming eagle tuner had many warranty issues cared for. My Streetglide I installed the mufflers and had brake noise warranty work done with no problems no charges. Hope this helps

Yes they are only slip ons. They have gone up in price since I did this video. I got them from this website here’s the link for my bikewww.mozaicracing.com/Cobra-Neighbor-Haters/MM005463 You might find them cheaper elsewhere I’m not sure. But mosaic racing was friendly and fast. They were easy to install and no tuning is required. I didn’t tune and have zero issues been almost 3years and 9000 miles now. BIG SARGE RKS they are slip on mufflers not the entire exhaust system. No gaskets needed. Also no tuning needed either. Thanks for watching

No you don’t have to…I didn’t get a tuner and my 2020 Streetglide Special has run great for 3 years and over 10k miles…not even one issue
