Multiple convoys of unmarked police cars, fire engines, armed police units and ambulance vehicles responding with horn, siren and lights during Black Friday madness in London, UK.
'Black Friday' is a term used to describe the first day after the US holiday 'Thanksgiving' where shops offer many items at discounted prices. This typically marks the start of the manic Christmas shopping season and has been unofficially adopted around the world; including in the UK where many large retailers are owned by American companies.
A day described as 'black' has historically referred to a day where calamities occur. 'Black Friday' has been known to cause chaos due to the sheer volume of shoppers frantically buying items and resulting in disorder events such as assaults and over-crowding as well as an increase in thefts. There's also a heightened terror threat as a result.
'Black Friday' isn't the only day where there's an increase in emergencies; the entire Christmas period is straining on emergency services. Including the Friday just before Christmas, Christmas Day itself and New Year's Eve.

Great catches 👍 And still seeing motorists proceed through red traffic lights for emergency vehicles. London used to be great for getting around, but seeing these clips and the increased obstructions, sorry, traffic calming/cycle lanes/etc, you can see how hard each responding vehicle has to work just in your lens view. So hats off to every response driver , thank you all 👍

Great video, gotta be hard work like being out and about in so many areas to get enough clips. Also, is it worth blurring the number plates of the unmarkeds as well as the drivers? I really like the blurring of the faces because it's a sign of respect for the jobs they do.

@Idrees you ever seen that Simpsons episode "Homer Simpson vs The City of New York" and he end's up in all sorts of crazy shenanigans? Well, that's what it's like for any British person who lives/works outside of the Greater London area lol I used to not mind it so much when I was young, but these days I absolutely hate the place as it is sheer, unbridled chaos 24/7!! I've vowed to never drive through the centre of London ever again, as last time my blood pressure rose so much I ended up suffering a migraine 😳

@@markproctor6678 Do an image search for the older Range Rovers British cops have used down the years. A fair few Forces used them as Motorway patrol and Accident Response units during the 80s and 90s. Some great pics of the ones Greater Manchester used which had the NYPD-style "bubble" light bars fitted.

So the met put a lot of money into making covert vehicles for you to show there number number plates on your video 👎please make an effort to blank them out as criminals do watch you tube too

9 times out of 10 the vehicles are on ghost plates and are changed very often and If they didn’t want to be seen they wouldn’t be blue lighting around central London for everyone to see

The units which will be engaged on taskings that require them to be completely covert, such as a Level 1 Mobile Surveillance Teams, Protected Persons Units, Field Intelligence Units and Counter Terrorism etc will be completely indistinguishable from every other civilian or commercial vehicle on the road. Unmarked vehicles which are fitted with response equipment (as seen in this video) are classed as "semi-covert" and used by the likes of Proactive Teams, VIP Escort, CID/Major Incident Team and Roads Policing etc. Although having the ability to remain at first glance indistinguishable from other traffic, it is not essential as inevitably they will end up having to respond on blue lights to a call for service or be engaged in a pursuit. As @Hampshire emergency vehicles correctly stated, the vehicles are often fitted with ghost plates, but many criminals will be able to identify them due to the make, model, occupants and past interactions with said units. It's also not illegal to film them.
